I've been at BV cefore when they have announced a 6k or so crowd, and the ground looked a lot less full than today, must admit. That said, clubs in the past have been known to inflate crowd figures to placate sponsors...

Seemed a pretty reasonable crowd today, I thought? Those round me were a bit incredulous at what was announced. Hell, for some reason I even shouted "...and that's for the taxman - what's the real number?" - no idea what came over me...

What I want to know is, do they count the ones that don't go through the turnstiles on Doncaster Road ie the ones going through the exit gate opened by the stewards. Perhaps they collect ticket stubs and are counted into the attendance, but it sure is open to abuse.

Joking apart here, but the longer we take the on the declared attendance, the closer to getting caught by the tax man we are.
