He has said on Twitter that there will be 2 overseas players announced next week so things may be clearer.'"
If we sign a French player then I assume they count on neither.

Pomeroy isn't French, unless you have someone else in mind ?

| Pita is a tricky one some matches I think he was great and look forward to him the week after then he will be poor. I haven't seen a consistent string of performances yet.If he goes we shall cope we wont have much depth in the halfs if he goes tho.

| I would like to see him stay, as it would add depth to the halves.
However, I don't think he was as effective in 2015 than in 2014, and as become a bit of a one trick pony, and is replaceable.
If he was to go, but we then replaced him with a a half back with a more rounded game, then I think we would be a better side.
We could go with a partnership with Miller and, say an experienced NRL half back, and Liam Finn could even be the hooker, or impact player off the bench.
We also have Sio, and Moore who isn't as bad as what some people think, This bloke was a few years ago in the Super League dream team of the year. How many of those have we had in our squad over the years

| No but reading a lot of comments on here, it sounds all but confirmed he will be.
The main point I was making was that if he did go, and that we replace him, for another half back, potentially we would be well covered at 6,7 and 9

| I think where Godinet comes into his own is when he takes the acting half-back role. The play the balls, and hence the general play, certainly speeds up somewhat. I would be disappointed if he was to leave the club.

| I'd like him to stay as think we'd then be ok for competition/cover in the halves (or hooker role if Moore signs) then we would just need a decent big SL standard centre....what about Championship teams or NSW cup for a decent centre if Pomeroy is too expensive or unavailable?

Hope so.
Don't know why but got the feeling in that last game that Moore had found a home with us at last. Just a gut feeling and may be way off but slightly odd ball clubs like ours make great homes for mavericks and lost souls. Maybe it's the lack of hierarchy and the need to make do but we constantly give refuge to these players and usually they do well. Please don't confuse these with shirt fillers and hacks after one last pay cheque. Moore has real ability largely wasted by his own inability to grow up and be what he can be - maybe ay 27 he finally has. If so, in a BS team he should thrive and if he does we have one hell of a player.
He could also revert to type and waste his talent as per usual - so lets hope that if we do sign him my gut is right and it's not just indigestion

| There is no doubt that Moore has the ability and class and I think he would go well with Smith as coach and Moore is now at that age where the silly errors that we all make in life when younger are starting to be a thing of the past.Smith appears to be that type of coach that will help every player and take the time to make them better players

| I hope we can keep him. He reminds me of Julian Rinaldi in his style of play and if he's as good as him he will do for me.

| In some senses it's a shame, I like him and he's shown some quality during a pretty dark 2 year period but he's never really kicked on since his explosive start where he bagged try's for fun.
Good luck Pita

| Sorry to see him go. I wish we'd left him at half back from the start but we needed cover at hooker so his attacking effectiveness was slowed a bit.
V good player.
I wish him well for the future

| Looks like a positive departure - I'd wish him well and thank him for his effort during some fairly torrid times.
I'm not actually too concerned with it in terms of impact on the team - his form was streaky and he didn't really have the impact on a consistent basis that his early form suggested might be the case.

Pita has been one of the few bright spots in the last couple of seasons and I wish him well in the future.
Good luck fella.

| It is a shame... I thought he might sign up... But he said he preferred playing in half back positions..... Which leaves us a bit short in that department...
Maybe we have something else lined up
Did we offer him a new deal?
Anyway best of luck to the fella.... He always put the effort in and we can't thank him enough for pinching the ball towards the end of this seasons million pound game
Good luck in whatever you do mate...

| Pita Godinet is a very good player and was great to watch. Unfortunately for him he played in or behind a struggling pack. On wards and upwards for him..I can see him playing alongside Todd Carney and that big Catalans pack!

I heard this a while ago, maybe it's easier to get to the airport to fly to Catalan?
All the best to Pita wherever he ends up.
Been a bright spark in the last two years, as someone pointed out.
Hopefully can recommend other players to us who want a bash.
