With a lack of quality halves in the game, an NRL club would snap him up. If Sezer is still getting a gig at the Tigers then Lam is a shoe in somewhere

We need second rowers or a loose if we are looking at forwards.

We have Mckmeeken, Atoni, Uele, Rodwell, Vagana, Bain next season already. Though Bain looks more a 13 for me.

How many non fed spots do you have signed up for next, Lino would come off if the new rules are passed.

Are all those forwards except Mcmeeken non fed, which would mean you have 6 signed up including Lino (is that right?)

Apparently we do have dispensation for him under the current ruling which I thought would been a stretch as the ruling is you need 3 years in English RL as a junior, Isaiah would have been 1 year old when he got here and 8 when he left.

Under the rules they are trying to pass, anyone eligible for a British citizenship (here over 5 years or dual nationality) won't be non fed, could open up the likes of Walmsley etc, not sure what I think about it in the hrs scheme of development of the game over here but apparently it will be passed.

Perhaps it will open up the opportunity short to medium term to bring in more quality and widen the net.

Whether that’s a poor transition from academy to first team or the quality or numbers of young players is up for debate. With the physical aspect of the sport you barely see any make the transition other than the odd game. Especially forwards.

Having seen the Championship you realise how few real quality players are available. Previously is would have said no but if the game wants to expand it is a good idea.

Exactly, in fact a high number of Trinity recent and older ex academy players are at a number of clubs. It’s really important that this conveyor belt is maintained. Academy players at clubs like us are a gold mine for helping championship and league 1 clubs.

That said, there’s not enough and players have to come from somewhere.

I was just reading love rugby leagues article this morning that he was expected to sign for a club in Australia 2025 but may be open to uk offers as KR have their options for 9 next season.

The article must have it wrong as it didn’t mention any retirement if that’s his intention.

Reported weeks ago he was retiring (going home to Aus) this was by HKR
