Couldn't agree more, Roonaldo. He may well be "working his socks off" but that certainly doesn't mean he has competence in any area. Please back up the statements you have made, TRB.
Just what business credentials does he have?
What things does he "view differently" from the rest of us?
What is this "vital role" and what on earth leads you to the conclusion that he will manage it's requirements well?

I am heartily sick of your relentless cheerleading for the club. Even now, you seem unable to call this lot for the useless, incompetent, ineffectual tossposts they have proved themselves to be.

Of he's working his socks off or not, he is part of our club and at times like these we all need to dig in, he isn't ted and shouldn't be vilified as such.
As for cheerleading for the club, it's what we all should be doing and TRB should not be criticised for that, blindly defending ted in the past, go for your guns, no argument there, but the club needs all the cheerleaders it can get right now.
Let the new owners and administrators weed out the week employees, that's their job.

Can't comment on Elston as I've never had dealings with him, but have with other members of staff, past and present, and your point rings true. Why employ those with the skills when you can employ 'our own' because they're loyal and (probably) cheap? If they are out of their depth, so be it.

You sure?? Don't know his current salary but i know what Hull KR were paying him and if we are paying half of what he was on there, he's not on a bad number.

I certainly don't wish to pick a fight with you and I agree that you are entitled to feel angry at the current situation and perhaps a little frustration at my position over the years. All I can say is that I have done, and continue to do, everything I can for the best for the club and it's fans - and I do it for free - and up until now Ted has been the club.

Guys, we are facing the toughest time in the history of this once great Club. The last thing we need is to fall out with each other. By all means have opinions but for God's sake lets stick together because I'm sure we're going to be needed more than ever.

Whatever happens in the next week or so, departure of the current owner, new owners or whatever but one thing is certain the supporters will still be here and may need to play a part in the future of the Club.

Can't knock your efforts mate, you've gone beyond the call of duty. But like the rest of us, probably even more so, you've been led up the garden path and lied to by a complete little s**t of a man. The fact that so many people refuse to do business with the club has been a tell tale sign for a long time. There is no defending what he's done when its blatently obvious that everything hes done wasn't in the clubs best interests. Far from it.

It is a difficult place I find myself - but also one from which I can hopefully play some small role in the future of the club, even if it is just trying to keep things smooth on NM.

When I reflect on what I've done, there is little I would change, although there are few things said which I can regret. I have always made it clear that I beleive that all supporters should be treated with equal respect - a belief which fits ever so nicely into the Trust ideal!

I am not convinced about that - but only if there is a complete break from the current regime.

Amen to that! With the exception of confidential details, which all supporters would understand need to be kept that way, the way the current board\owners have shared info with the few rather than the many has been a disgrace, and why, when begging, no-one trusted them.

Maybe....but its hard to put a gauge on your "Care Level", as much as I understand that by donating 1k made the 20 look like they cared more than most, in reality the other 480 who possibly cared just as much but didnt push their "Care Level" above their "Trust Level" to part with the money.

The only way we will find out is when we go into administration which is why I cannot understand why we are not already at that point? Teds "500" ploy was, is, and always has been doomed to failure (in light of today, thank god). But can anybody offer an explanation as to why we can't enter administration voluntarily? Is there a greater penalty for doing that? We all know what's coming and the sooner it arrives, the better. The longer we stay in limbo, the nearer the start of the season, and at present, we are going to be going to Cardiff along with the burden of all manner of potential legal wrangles. What are we waiting for?!

I think that's right. The playing season brings revenue with it. At the moment, given that we've been begging for a 350K bail out for HMRC and others, plus 150K running costs, we wouldn't have a hope.

Couldn't agree more; we've had our expectations lowered to such an extent that we accept senior exec's taking stewardship of the club on the basis that they a) like RL and b) can breathe and walk at the same time. Mr Elston seems like a nice lad, totally out of his depth - going forward, that's simply not good enough.

I wouldn't get too exercised about it though; if our new owners have achieved any measure of legitimate business success, they'll quickly work out for themselves who can and who can't cut the mustard - there'll be a cull, that's almost a given.
