We are still Wakefield Trinity all be it version 4 as far as I recall. As indeed are Bradford who are at least on version 2 as I believe are Leeds, HKR and Wigan to name but a few.

You were Huddersfield RLFC you are now Huddersfield and SHEFFIELD Giants. The clue is in BOLD. There can be no argument that in every respect you are a new club, if you don't want to be and wish to revert give the million pounds back. Same applies to Hull just to give some balance.

Wouldn't disagree on purely financial terms but it's hardly something to gloat or laugh about is it. A broken club, a broken man in Ted (yes amazing he's a human being), broken team, broken careers, unpaid bills and very nearly broken hearts on here. Yes Glover has done a great job since taking over but a lot of people paid a high price to give him that chance - not his fault obviously.

mmmm we paid off sheffields debts £565,000 never got the balance of the money for the Keith Senior transfer £180,000, had to hire Brammall Lane to play in Sheffield and when we still got relegated had to give Martin Gleeson to Saints for nowt market value at the time £150,000 at least, Chris Bridge to Bradford market value at least £50,000 etc etc.... so don't go saying how we gained from this.... the RFL didn't want Sheffield to be seen to be going bust... I woulda merged with Gateshead a lá Hull every time it was a far better deal than we got..... All that may be true but you are still Huddersfield and Sheffield Giants and have little to do with the old Fartown based Huddersfield RLFC.

it's exactly this sort of post that wazzes me off with the fart owners - in hindsight, what you are saying is that the support and process by which you were meant to strengthen wasn't neccessarily a good thing or something that you wanted to do -hmmmm, wait a minute - maybe that's what wildcat supporters are feeling about the last 12 months. Come back in 3 years and maybe we'll tell you how we feel about the whole thing in hindsight. In the meantime just accept that every club has it's ups and downs - and when you go on the attack with us we have a legitimate and needful excuse to remind you of your own chequered and(in the case of Sheffield) shameful history

haha.... no ground up to standard...you'd move to barnsley... ground share with anyone that would keep you in superleague you promised a new ground years ago to get in and you haven't got it even now...just temporary structures... share with castleford ...move to barnsley.... go to newmarket...go to glasshoughton ! but i bet i will still get p*****d wet through again next year if it rains.... at the shed that is called Belle Vue.... having been to the Shay recently..thats up to standard... so how 'you are superleague ' is a combination of luck and lack of bottle by the RFL.... to promote the side with the ground.....

It is not a shed. It can't be a shed because it doesn't have a roof. This is good because I have always thought it better to go in somewhere which is wet than somewhere that is dry.

Just remind me again, who owns the ground where you are sometimes allowed to play, provided nothing else is going on.

Davey owns most of it, I believe. Certainly more of it than Glover owns of ours, or will own of our future ground. Dodgy argument, this one.

The company currently called "Huddersfield Giants Ltd", that operates the Giants franchise? It is actually the former Sheffield Eagles Ltd. Not the former Huddersfield club. It changed its name on 23/12/1999. So Huddersfield really IS Sheffield, not Fartown. Funny old world, innit?

And if anyone is going on about rich owners, I'd be quite at ease if they all buggered off tomorrow. Given as we seem to be one of the few clubs who have had one and seem never likely too...
