He did an interview posted on RL with JD and he was gutted absolutely gutted to be leaving Bradford. Maybe his emotions are preventing him finding his ability.

Once again I was correct when slating his opening speech comin to us I am proved right yet again.I would offer him back to Bradford and we can have Fakir instead.

Did you lot not see scruton play for Bradford? We had one good season out of him which we put down to injuries and his diabetes diagnosis.

As for Fakir please have him. He's not match for so you get due minutes a half out of him and he's made a large number of handling errors.

Maybe he's not getting a roasting from our coach for his performances.
Instead he is probably getting analysed as to why he is not performing.

To say Richard Moore has a more debilitating illness than most players you would not think so with the effort he puts in.
Scruton needs to look around him and pull his finger out more so if he wants to feed his family after this season.If I was in the position of looking at him to bring in to a club he would have blown it.

I know Scruton is diabetic and Im not saying its easy to live with but lets face it Crohns is quite an awful thing to have.

So is Type 1 Diabetes and despite some very high profile athletes coping magnificently with it they're the exception.
It puts paid to a lot of sporting careers as not everyone can balance the demands of the condition with the demands of sporting activity especially at a professional level.

I thought Scruton started off ok but has dipped recently. Maybe he is finding the move hard who knows.

Tackling isn't the issue with our best. I'm wondering if we are putting enough people in to the tackle

We're not doing it right - simple as.

The new trend (which I don't agree with, but that's irrelevant) is for the first man to go high, and hold up the runner; it's vital that he makes good contact, and sticks. The second man halts forward progress by going low and securing the legs and when the third man joins, they wrestle the tackled player onto his back, with his head facing his own sticks. They then peel off one by one on the call of move, with the bloke at the top of the heap coming off first. That creates the slowest possible play the ball and allows the defensive line to set. Observe Sean O'Loughlin; up high, head in the face, and his head stays in the face until the other two tacklers have peeled off - it's an effective tackle, and it's horrible for the tackled player to endure, which is part of the point.

Our first contact is often pat-a-cake under 8's stuff and as a result, we're not controlling the collision; so we're allowing an offload or giving away fast play the balls and our defence is in chaos or at worst, we concede a penalty.

Its wide defence fo me. It all goes wrong when it goes to our flanks. Lyne is hopeless in defence. Fox is not a lot better. Mathes is a dodgt full back but Id rather have him back there and Sammut playing7. Its the 3/4 defence that is the issue for me mosy of all

This is probs why we appear to not to be fit as the first tackle is to soft so others are having to keep chasing back to make a second attempt and so it goes on and we end up blowing with all the chasing back and more tackles to do.Plus when we then get our hands on the ball we have a lot more work to do to get back in the opposition territory.

If it's so debilitating he can't get it under control, then, sadly, maybe a career as a player isn't for him anymore.

I don't think we have any medical experts on here that can diagnose over the web so let's leave that one alone.

As for NS, for whatever reason we haven't seen the best of him - perhaps a 'rest' may benefit him, seeing as we have the luxury of other props!

The best of Scruton was when he was at Leeds. Maybe he'll never acheive that level again?

Well I think at least one Bradford fan has posted on here that he has not been his best at Bradford, although I seem to remember he looked ok playing for Bradford against us!
Maybe he's dreaming of a Leeds return, who knows.
