Tim Robey needs to find a new career because that was an awful refereeing performance and even as a neutral I've never seen him be anything but inept.

We got absolutely nothing from him in the first half and every 50/50 went for Sts, while Sts were never square at the PTB and messed about all day long with some rucks looking like an extended game of twister yet no penalties given.

I'm not one for just bagging the ref but his influence on the momentum of the game was very undue and for a period in the second half he swung the game relentlessly in favour of St Helens with the scoreline changing from 16-4 Wakefield to 16-24 St Helens.

Final note, our goal line defence in the second half wasn't good enough with 2 tries conceded on the last tackle and another was an easy walk in under the posts

After the McShane try Saints looked down and out behind the posts. 3 tries from 3 penalties got them in front and we never recovered from playing without the ball for about 15 minutes. The 4th try from the 4th penalty killed it off completely.

We went well today but the penalties killed us second half.

Wasn't convinced by Agar's team selection. Keinhorst was clearly not fit. That strapping looked like it was holding his leg together and he was pretty much done after his first run. Not sure why Sykes wasn't picked at centre? Seijka's inclusion was another puzzler. I couldn't see where he was going to fit in from the start. Looked like he was at centre for the very few minutes he played. Another wasted interchange for me. playing with 16 men again.

I hope we can kick on from this and do a job on KR next week.

Personally I don't think it's a tactic, more that Agar doesn't have the confidence in the player on the bench and then only brings them on when his arm is forced which is too late.

Anderson and Ryan went well today and put themselves about quite alot, what happened when Ryan got KO'd??

the quality of officials is in the game is dire and I haven't even a suggestion on how the league goes about bring in a better referee, as for our passing today it was constantly going to no one and going to ground, this basic rugby and looked like u10s was playing

Kyle Amor head high,should have walked and so should Lomax in the first half when he shouldered Godinet,the Godinet so called penalty for interference was an absolute joke.Roby needs to be carried about in a buckae the spineless sod.

Thing what let us down today was discipline at the ruck and really poor passing especially down our left hand side. There were numerous times if it had gone through the hands instead of the cut out pass we would have scored.

Lynne needs to have a rest for me. Poor defence and shocking ball handling.

The RFL need to stop shying away from how low the standard of refereeing is and address how inept boarding on bias some are. What was a brilliant entertaining game, today was spoilt by the referee who heavily influenced the outcome.

It was a big swinging arm, which didn't look as though it fully connected (thank god).
Why there was no card shown is utterly beyond me.
Compared to Lomax running into Ali and playing the "dying swan", what an absolute tool.
To feign being knocked out and then se "skipping about" on the next play is disappointing.
Mind you, the ref fell for all of Saints tricks this afternoon and took away any chance of a Wakefield win.
We were great for 50-55 mins and then came penalty-mistake-penalty-mistake.
Saints were there for the taking today and we weren't too far short.
Plenty of hope for next week and the rest of the season !

Think Harry coming on in the centre must have been a forced change....in an ideal World the game would still have been going our way and he could have come on for McShane around the hour mark....injury forced the change by the looks of it....

Agree with Clan.....I'm never, ever one to slate refs but Roby had a massive influence in the way the game swung.....4 consecutive sets, all with penalties after 3 or 4 decent tackles and all for things that both sides were doing....it left us without ball for a long time and the game totally swung....

We were brave at 8 points down and battled til the end, but because of the lack of ball in that time we went into panic mode.....threw a few silly passes etc.....first half we were excellent.....2nd half, whether right or wrongly, that 10-15 minute spell cost us.....

Plenty of positives to take out from a game we weren't expected to win though......Saints will be happy to get away with those two points for sure....

We lack composure every time we got any where near the saints line the passing was awful ,passes were high ,low, behind the man just not good enough . Everytime saints got close they looked like scoring and that`s with no half backs!!! something to work on this week I hope

We were under pressure though. We had no ball with the try - kickoff - penalty - try sequence so we had to take some chances. I'd rather see us go down trying to get the ball free than just letting it die in the tackle.

Getting the ball free yes but when its in your own half its a stupid idea.

Yep, the majority of the poor stuff came after that awful spell......we went into panic mode.....sometimes hard as a team to stay composed when a game swings like that and in the manner it did.....we could easily have give up though aswell in the last quarter and lost by 20-30....thankfully we didnt and we can take a lot out of it as a new side improving week by week...

I liked Agar's interview on radio Leeds.....came across very well again and called it just about spot on....
