| So can you explain to an idiot what the sentence," was heard on 25th July and dismissed by the court means?"
Has the claim been dismissed in full, or just the winding up order?

| Thankfully no personal experience of insolvency but I would have thought that the Court dismissed the WUP because either the claim from Macron has since been resolved or it felt the claim was not valid in full and the Club had a case in not paying the claim.
Whichever it means that the Club is NOT being wound up.
HMRC may be different but I suspect that will have already been sorted with HMRC and that WUP will also be dismissed.

| i have no doubt the club will get away with it "just" and that'll be great news.
Lots of questions as to why we are in this position "again" but for now its good news and welcome news at that.

How many questions?
What position are we in exactly?
The Macron issue is a dispute between the club and Macron on quality and supply of goods. Macron have tried to use the WUP as a means to get what they believe is outstanding monies, from what I understand, this has not worked in their favour.
The HMRC issue should have never come to fruition as the club had already agreed a payment schedule as per Mr Glovers statement early on.
Seems the doom mongering continues

No he didn't. It actually reads like they hadn't agreed to the payment terms at the time of issue.

Funny how when Ferris wanted to spend up to the cap he was refused permission and forced out and now with threat of relegation they suddenly can do it. Oh just a minute they didn't have to spend 500k on their ground to keep Red Hall happy!!

Speculate to accumulate, sensible decision to over spend next year then cut back the following season with the safety net of knowing the additional central funding should ensure the club stay in SL1 should they finish outside the top 8 in the inaugural season of the 3x8's (if that is what the RFL pushes through).

I agree, and now would be a great time for us to welcome onboard these "alleged" investors (if they exist) that are waiting in the wings so that we too can spend the full cap (or near to it).

Could it be that they are not prepared to put money into an organisation just to take on a massive debt liability created by someone else.

Where does it say that payment terms were accepted? Nowhere.
It could easily be read as we made a payment offer in the hope they would accept and not advertise but they turned it down and advertised it. Guess we'll find out after monday whether agreement has been made.

Theres no doubt that spending over half a million less on the squad than everyone else is a surefire oneway ticket to the championship.

| It still totally puzzles me as to why Kirmond would commit and Tuson sign if they had not had assurances re. other player retention, further signings etc to create a really competitive squad.
I wouldn't have.
Would you?
Still does not make sense to me.
Furthermore how do other clubs go from the brink of admin to full salary cap?
Am I thick or what?

From Cas' point of view its a 70% increase in commercial revenue since Fozzard left and a new commercial team was put in place, a new team of directors to bring better business practise into the club and an investment of a large transfer fee for Rangi Chase into the playing budget. Apparently.

Perfect timing for next season. Losing Chase is a blow but we will have a larger squad than ever before in our SL era. Looking foward to 2014 already.

Or, it's some of the work he did with them coming to fruition? It's always tempting to take pot-shots at the recently departed, particularly if you're trying to get your stakeholders on side.
I'm not suggesting he's a commercial whizz by the way, but there's always a way to spin things, particularly when those you're spinning against don't have a right of reply!

Think its the deals they have signed up for next season. They have a new ground naming sponsor for next year that is more lucrative as well by all accounts.

Revenue as increased since his departure just like revenue dramatically increased when CP left CT 2 years ago.

Nothing to do with Fozzard. These are sponsorship deals for next season. It was said the club have gone and renegotiated many of the previous deals in order to raise money. For instance, deals included giving away boxes, hospitality, signs around ground, scoreboard etc etc.
They have got rid of the perks on the sponsorship and sold these separately to raise more money hence the significant increase. This is through the work of Mark Grattan and Richard Pell, our Commercial Team.
