Was at the game Sunday. I thought we strung some very good moves together. Rooney looked extremely poor in attack this guy seems to have lost his imagination and diddles and shakes about with it then falls into the tackle. Hes ment to have experience but this guy looks like a Rookie. Its a shame he looked a World beater in his early 20's now he is a good support player at best. He is one to go at the end of the season for me shame but hes gone for me. Again sunday we had some poor decisions of the French guy Albert but I think we lost concentration at vital points Rinaldis try and Korki dropping the ball on his own 20. When Brough and Rooney set up the kick through where the hell was Petersen he should have been chasing that he is a winger for god sake. Im not giving this guy the benefit of doubt from now he doesnt want to be here im counting the days until he goes. Ive waited so long for him to be a prolific try scorer like he was at the Titans but im affraid its not coming folks. Halley the perfect replacement a vital pace injection to the team and someone who actually wants to be at Wakey. I would like to add that Snitch has been our most consistent player this year hes playing the game with imagination making great passes and hes playing with a lot of heart. I spoke to Snitch when he signed for us I said you have a lot to prove he said I know. I think he has delivered.

Im just summing the game up. Can you read?? I believe I said there are some positives to take out from the game. I think we will beat Hull saturday if we concentrate and get some tackling done.

I'd say honest. If you thought we were good yesterday then you must be the most blinkered fan ever to watch the game. He's right Rooney was poor, very poor in fact, Petersen didn't look interested and our forwards once again got bullied and totally dominated. Snitch had a good go and Brough was our most creative player. Why isn't Drew starting at 9? Early season Drew was starting games and blitzing the opposition before they knew that the game had even started. Start with Drew then bring Latu off the bench to run at them from dummy half. Sam either needs a rest or play him at 6. JD should have had his op earlier, I'm not knocking his commitment or effort as he is the proudest man in the shirt but its blatantly obvious hes not been fit for the last few weeks. Can't wait to see him again after his op when he'll be refreshed and really fired up.

Thats alot of days to count -- hes under contract for next season as well.
He is one player i would be happy for the club to try and negotiate an early release from his contract.His performances dont merit being paid in pesetas.

Definately agree on Snitch,proved alot of the knockers wrong.
Some of our other players could do with some of his desire,too many at the moment are going through the motions.

Petersen, hope he is not here next season. I used to think he would be a quality player if he got a few games in a row, I doubt that will ever happen and yesterday he just looked like he could not be fooked with been on the pitch.

i'd like to see sam start at 6, drew start at 9 with tevita off the bench. definitely the way to go.

If Sam plays at 6 he won't have the defensive work hes having to do now week in week out and therefore he can play a more attack orientated game and show the skills which were the reason we signed him in the first place. Can't knock Sam for his effort but years of playing in the middle for us and tackling way above his weight are starting to take their toll. Kear needs to sort things and start playing players in their natural positions.

As I said on the other thread, changing what is clearly working is becoming a JK trade mark and it's a bit worrying tbh.

If JK has a fault and others have said it, it's that he seems to struggle to pick a side when players are available in number. He then seems to feel obliged to fit them all in and the team structure goes to pot. Our two best spells under Kear have been when the team was ravaged by injury and the team picked itself.

That for me is Kears major downfall, he can't pick a winning side from a full squad of players, he is great at motivating the team when we're down to the bare bones. He picks too many playmakers thus leaving us without runners, if the Rooney loan deal to Cas is true at least thats one play maker out of the equation but then again hes only just come back from injury. Seems he doesn't want to upset our so playmakers and ends up playing them all which clearly doesn't work.

What ruined the game for me was the negaitivity of the wakefield fans around me - complaining from the first minute to the last. During the course of the game they picked apart Bibey / Stosic / Rooney / Obst / Korki / Petersen and Kear ("taken us as far as he can"icon_wink.gif. I used to look forward to away games as it was an escape from the negativity of the home support - now i am bombarded by it home, away and on the Internet.....and the vast majority of it is cr*p...

This is the best squad of players and best coach i think we've had in the past tewnty five years i've been going down to watch....a bad month does not make us a bad team....

Rooney has always been a link player and a good one at that - he's just returned from serious illness / injury and is still finding his form...

We didn't perform as well as we can as a team, but have we really reached a stage where losing to Bradford away requires us to slaughter the players and coach?

Toppo was a better coach - given that the side were part time and we still had no money.

The side of 2004 was better in quality than this lot. Even the 2005 & 2006 sides had more quality - even if we didn't see it much. This side is full of triers - but with the exception of 1 or 2 they are either past their best; reached their limitations or haven't got their yet.

I don't subscribe to the 'throwing the baby out with the bathwater' theory and would like to see evolution rather than revolution (i.e. change 3/4/5 players at the end of the year rather than 6/7/8 ), but we do need to work to improve over each of the next 3 seasons - and, unfortunate as it is, the model has to be Huddersfield, who have improved their squad carefully and steadily each season.

cant see how the 2006 side had better players personally. and its ok saying the model is shudds when they have the dollar to bring in players like hodgson

The 2006 side had plenty of decent players - we only saw them play fleetingly!



We have an opportunity to improve the quality of our squad - but it is not a bottomless pit!
