my oh my what a wonderful day

Very good first half from us but 2nd half we seemed to go to sleep. Shame we could not repeat the first half, something we can't seem to do.

The win is the main thing. Had good bet on, Wakey to win and Atkins first score with England to win by more than 13 points. Although that one is looking in danger now

Good, committed performance, and a very valuable 2 points. You'd expect Hull to come back in the 2nd half - they slung the ball around well at times then - but we did what we needed to do. The look on JK's face after Blaymire went in at the death was priceless.

What a game! Just got home and watching TV, everyone is still in the ground.....why dint no one tell me you could watch it on the big screen? Or want i listening....

But you would also expect us to play better. At times in the 2nd half our defence was poor where as in the 1st half it was solid.

Could have done better in 2nd half but the win is most important

Thought we played well today. They did let things slip in the second half but that is partly Hull having nothing to lose and throwing it around. It was hot too so bound to run low on gas at times.

Thought Brough showed the passion he shows when he is at his best. Thought Fergy made a big difference and Snitch was excellent in all that he did. Probably my MOM.
I had my doubts about Rooney but watching him he draws defenders to him and although he doesn't make the break like he used to, he causes the defensive line to break up a it and we often do something on the next play.

Drew did well and think it is better to play him at start and finish. We looked good when he was on the field.
All the props, even Bibey did well today, which is something we have missed. Korki showing to be a good deal for us.

Also, Peterson.....I've been well in the camp of "not worth it" but watched him closely tonight. He does not get the service he needs. He takes the ball often from second play after kick return which is just hard yards like a prop has to do. He defended well and got two chances today. One kick that got away from him and one pass he scored. I wish he could get a run on the outside, even if just so he can prove he isn't worth it but at the moment I'm thinking the style of play just isn't working for his type of game.

BUT if we do get rid, I'd have Broughton instead......liked the look of him.

The pass from Brough to put Peto in for his try was fantastic!!

totally agree, danny b's pass to peterson was fantastic (and the try was great too). thought we looked better today without atkins and more balanced. personally hope that atkins leaves because to me he is a "prima donna"and we can generate some money from the transfer. we are a better team when he is not around. not a criticism of atkins because he is an excellent player but he is not right for us.

and i remember king wally making a pass from midfield that nearly knocked andy fletcher in to touch..remember him..the guy who ran almost the whole length of the field to take us to wembley in the last minute at headingley.

I dont remember that! (maybe my memory is failing) names I do remember from that team were... Alan Burns, Genn Worne, Butch Adams, Malcolm Swann, Paul Geary, Brad Waugh, Scott Lewis, Nigel Bell, Lindsay Gill, Nigel Stephenson, Richard Kelly... any more anyone?

Clan... was Flekker still at Wakefield then?.. you are younger than me... and you were there!

I do however remember that he ran about 30 yards for the try at Headingley... the late Dave Topliss and Keith Smith did the hard yards... and that moment is still one of the top 20 highlights of my life so far.

... and about 2 yards forward! Still you take them when you get them.

it's tough for you guys at the moment and i can't see an answer to be honest to your problem. It would seem you may need to replace Agar (and thats a shame IMO) or at least bring in a Tony Smith to STAMP his authority on the team.

Anyway i for one wish Hull good luck.

Well, I'm sure there is a Tony Smith with SL coaching experience available at the moment, and he does know hull. Not sure he is the solution though.
