Quote ="Fordy"Not sure we can get away with that - I don't think the punching people thing is a new rule!
I do agree with the poster above though - punching a thug like Bailey should be worthy of a commendation not a punishment!'"
To quote Brian McDermott "I thought a sending-off was heavy-handed but you can’t go around punching blokes."
Well Mr McDermott I think you'll find your own number 9, McShane, did the exact same thing but yet was only yellow carded and will not face disciplinary. Anybody at the game will recall McShane throwing uppercuts into Foxy for what [uappeared[/u unprovoked.
So I dont see how Bailey grabbing hold of Poorey out of nowhere and getting cracked warrants a red card yet Paul McShane throwing uppercuts in the middle of a tackle doesn't.
Nevermind, we all know the referee didnt handle many things correctly. To push this any further and banning Poore will be ridiculous but not a surprise, he should be on the list for a Knighthood imo. Hypocritical words from Brian McDermott.
