| Without watching the academy lads, it does sound like we have the youngsters coming through to support a small squad. At some point these lads need the experience, like Ferguson, Pitts and Bibb got.
There's no point having a good academy set up if we don't utilise it. And if we're to keep the majority of them then they need to play first team football. I'm all for it

| I think a smaller squad with additions from reserve grades is a good idea and over the long term can only benefit the national sides.
Whatabout a seperate quota for overseas/ non fed players, artificially lowering the quotas and making clubs buy the wheat rather than the chaff, thus promoting junior development???

| Sounds like a really good idea to me especially with no relegation. Only problem I can see is those fans with raised expectations if things don't appear to 'kick on' they will soon be moaning and calling for Kear's head, again!

| I think it’s the correct way to go. A small squad of class players, topped up with the young lads. But as it’s already been alluded to by J.T. the problem is maintaining the performance levels, especially with the fickle Wakefield following.
The other dilemma is the next round of licences, presumably at some point the RFL will have to divulge the criteria required. I’m sure there was talk of a point for finishing 8th or higher over the three seasons, this has to be a ‘must’, bearing in mind the clubs in a similar situation to us. Then again the numpties at Red Hall may instruct all the clubs to waive any chance of an appeal, and put in who they / Sky want in.
But, maybe all this is for another day, perhaps we should just enjoy this year’s ride, because you just never know.
