I do understand what you are saying and it would depend on the relationship between Brougha nd Kear as well.
I'm reading Radlinski's book at the moment (very good read by the way) and he talks about Edwards running training and being very dominant, but also that the players respected him enough that they let him do it.
Whether Brough is at that kind of status is obviously quite questionable but I do like the idea of a family atmosphere in the team and the group as a whole having a say in who joins their group.
Selection on a week by week basis is completely different. JK should be the only decision maker there.
