We won a game but played poorly again.
Nobles time is up and has been for some while but I have never rated him as a coach and feel unless he does go to Bradford now or in the near future his coaching career could well be over.
I noticed someone above credited Noble with "saving Wigan from relegation", which in my opinion is up there with the NRL is boring as one of the top Myths in rugby league. Sacking Millward saved Wigan along with some creative accountancy. Any coach with a tiny bit of ability could have taken those players out of the relegation trouble they were in.
There is no official announcement and i doubt there will be this week, although i hope there is! Given the fact McNamarra is still in charge at Bradford when clearly he is going to get the push, it makes me think something is happening between Wigan at Bradford that will see Noble return to the Bulls sooner rather than later.
At the moment Noble is looking at the end of the year at Wigan and no job for 2010 or if he jumps ship now a nice 3 year deal at the Bulls where he can do no wrong given there current position. Even for a drop in sallary a seat for the next 3 years is better than being frozen out of the game altogether which i feel is a distinct possibility unless he goes mid season.
