One for the long time supporters amongst you , but some sad news to report .

Paul Oksene , the big aimiable Western Samoan international loose forward who played at Lawkholme in the back end of the 1980's,before moving to France has sadly passed away after a heart attack at the ridiculously young age of 44.

Okky was one of the nicest blokes you could wish to meet and not a bad RL player either ..

So sad, your right in what you said Okky was a very nice fella, and a great, strong player. my condolances go out to his family, god bless him,

Agreed Alec , should really be having a few 'samoan sunrises' [i( the cocktail created by Paul , his compardre John Collis and the much missed Cougar Park Steward Sue Loftus and drunk copiously in the old 'Green Hut') [/i this afternoon in his memory ...

Sad news.

I have fond memories of Okesene and Collis lifting the mood of what was a really bad time for the club.
