This coming Sunday (April 11th) Saltaire Cricket club are holding a table top sale in the Victoria Hall in Victoria Road in Saltaire from 10 until until 1. This is a fairly regular event but this time there will also be a table selling books with a strong Rugby League content at reduced prices. Among them are Rugby's Berlin Wall, We'll Support You Evermore, The Petition, Champagne Rugby, The Indomitables a fascinating account of the British Lions tour to Australia and New Zealand in 1946 on HMS Indomitable, Cougars Going Up by David Kirkley, four player biographies, three of my novels One Winter, One Summer and One Autumn, which are now attracting the interest of the American film icon Mickey Rourke and other material of interest to many Rugby League fans.
There will be a lot more general items of interest on the other twenty or so tables and admission is 20 p.
Well worth a visit.
