Super game and the Cougrrrs did very well to keep Sheffield to the points they got - what with all the pressure they enjoyed at the beginning of both halves.

I have to say,the referee made some real howlers tonight and special mention must go to the blatant knock on, when the Eagle failed to collect the ball from the ground.

Wray adds real go forward and the Cougrrrs seemed to lose momentum when he was replaced. I'm not saying don't bring the other hooker on but why take Wray off?

I would have had no complaints if you'd taken all the points, I thought your forwards bossed us in the second half, disappointed with the Eagles showing, your PA guy is a legend-he was the man of the match!

I have to say playing the Birdie song after one of the Eagles' tries was a stroke of genius that was worthy of the great Mick O'Neill himself.

Enjoyed the game, thought Cougars would hold on going into last 10 mins.

Then they got that lucky kick through try and I thought oh no!

Still 2 points is a good return but I thought cougars played well 2nd half and deserved the win.

Other forwards take notice...Nathan Massey ran hard fast strong, and STRAIGHT, abd he made loads of yards, and nearly scored. So maybe now our forwards will stop the sideways running, and just run straight at the defence, All our forwards are good enough to punch holes in any defence, but by the time they straighten up, they are tackled.

other than that a great result, and a promising future for the rest of the season.

I think direct would be a better term than straight.

We could do with a few more angled runs coming from the forwards as straight up running is relatively easy to defend against.

Massey did well last night, it's a shame he popped his shoulder.

That run where had 4 defenders on his back, nearly demolished the goalposts and got held up over the line was reminiscent of Steve Hall in his prime, pure class.

Plus you get a 'gimme' points on Thursday when you play us!

I would like to thank each and every lad that played on friday night, shows we have a backbone and dont give in. Thanks to everyone involved as the weather hasnt been very kind to us. And thanks to my friend the kitman John Laycock who I know has worked quite a few hours this week. Cheers everyone its your spirit that keeps me wanting to go every week.
