I have been putting videos on for a while and always try and select music to match the mood of the game.
Then I spotted Sheffield Eagles have an excellent TV website which they embed videos onto.
www.eaglestv.co.uk/
The videos are from a different angle to mine and without music.
The question is would the people who watch Cougars vids rather no music was placed on them?
Would they prefer them to be always filmed from the side, rather than from behind the posts?
My own opinion of the Sheffield site is it is spot on and sets the standard to aim for. |

I think what you're doing from any angle is excellent. It must be difficult to watch the game through a video screen. As a band photographer (In my spare time), I can very rarely comment on how good or bad a band were due to concentrating on what I'm photographing - I would guess the same applies for you?
I think you should be given a spot in the 'crows nest' where you can at least follow the action from a clear vantage point...

I think GP, you will find that the clubs "Match Videos" are just that, Match Videos, they are not a selection of clips set to music. If someone was to go to the club shop and ask for a Match Video and they got one like is posted on youtube then I think they would be disappointed to say the least (no disrespect Micky). I don't think you can get a full match on youtube anyway...

| Forwardpass what I am getting at is I prefer Mickey1920 vids simply because the quality seems better and seem to catch more of the details, than match vids I have seen before,
Thats no disrespect to whoever does the match vids  just prefer Mickeys simples |

Agree with GP,I would'nt be disapointed, set to music gives it a different angle which is what the cougars are about.

If the highlights on YouTube had commentary like Mike Carlsen does for the highlights on Channel 5's late night NFL coverage it would be good.
He adds a bit of comedy to it.
A classic line was "He couldn't have been more alone if he was Heather Mills at a Beatles convention."
Or "L.T went high....... but not in the Ricky Williams sense." The week after Ricky Willians got banned for taking marijuana.
