I like others were flabbergasted and dismayed that Neil made the after match speech despite not being on board or in an official capacity at the club.

Despies protestations from some fans he carried on as if nothing had happened, at what point will there be a reality check that most fans feel he should walk away graciously as this type of thing has peed off fans today that should be celebrating a fantastiic performance.

The name of the former chairman is franky not relevant but the damage he has caused to the club I have supported and loved for years is a major issue.

Whoever assuming this was sanctioned by the actual board agreed this were very misguided.

My views on this are well known and wont bore you all with details.

However I am confident and assured this will be finally resolved shortly without further tarnishing of the cougars name. Am unable or willing to divulge further on this. I may not represent everyone but having followed and paid week in week out for as long as I remember I am prepared to speak my mind whether this upsets folk or not is not my concern.

Neil please see the light as to what happened under your stewardship and stop making it look foolish.

One part of me has sympathy for the previous board the other part is very, very angry at being lied to.

When Neil appeared, unrest amongst the fans was tangible. I think most fans were amazed that Neil carried on as if nothing has happened recently.

Just muttering under your breath that things are in the past just does not cut it - someone needs to be brought to account re the tax bill. So come on, spill the beans re the debt .... or ... how did you put it .... ah thats it .... wrap up .....

This is a fans forum, not the directors appreciation society. Neil was more than happy to take the accolades of our success, but as the chairman at the time he carries the consequences of our failure.

Most fans come on here for light relief, discussion and even poking gentle fun at each other, but I think you will find gentle fun has turned to anger at being lied to. Rightly or wrongly, Neil was never the most popular person with the fans, now he just risks becoming a pantomime villain.

In my opinnion it just accentuates the contempt that certain people at Cougar Park have for the fans.

Unless something is done, he will continue as if nothing has happened and hope that people will forget. It's a well known management technique. It's how some people get away with incompetence.

Forwardpass what has having beer got to do with anything the fact is as far as I am aware Neil has no official role at rthe club, so why make a speech the board of cougars of 2010 should do this. One thing to remeber is there is just not me that feels like this but a number of fans in the bar by the reaction too.

time for my two penneth pete to back you up, the beer comment is a complete joke for a start,as for Spencer on that stage??! I was absolutely livid and it without doubt took the gloss off an otherwise superb Sunday.

I've known members of the Spencer family for 15 years or so now. If they are reading this please tell Neil that now is the time to walk away from our club.

After the Grand Final I amongst others who post here had a conversation with Mr Spencer upstairs in the bar at Cougar Park.

He was very willing to take all the plaudits, which at the time we all thought were due. He went on to say the the club was in a fantastic financial position and that we were in a position to but a strong side together for the Championship.

I'm afraid there is incontrovertable evidence to suggest he lied, we owed £183k tax and couldn't pay it back, we went into administration and face a points deduction that there's a strong chance this will send us down this season.

Amongst other clubs there is anger, we spent money we didn't have and couldn't pay back and got promoted off the back of it, some would call it down right cheating or stealing.

He has alienated a huge majority of fans not just because he lied but because he's been involved with the club going into administration 3 times.

However not once have I heard him come up with a full and frank apology and unfortunately it says a huge amount that he didn't turn up to the Q&A meeting to either defend himself or explain his role in our demise.

For this reason any official association he wishes to have shouldn't be allowed to happen, too much damage has been inflicted and as fans we just want to move on, until he disappears, we can't.
