I was Mick,i tried my best to not get too involved with this one as for me the league is priority but you could imagine the grief we might get had we lost off a certain pond life from York,having said that Blackpool will mince them up no problem and as ive said,I predict a very good season for them,Ainscough is a class act and will beat teams on his own.

Yes you won. Don't think either teams would have been majorly impressed by the match. Lots of penalties, quality in patches and usual impressive interesting performance from ref Merrick.

For me Cougars looked great when Shickell was on the pitch and not so good without.

I have to take issue with Stephanie M in that not only do you not attend games and I appreciate the fact your job makes this hard but to admit you bet against the cougars is crap and not a good fan in my opinion. Regarding the game Blackpook are a good team but the 2nd half comeback whilst tense was fantastic.

She didn't bet against Cougars.

She bet for us on a handicap bet.

The odds for both teams are set equal (usually 11/10 or 2.1) with a team either having a head start or a handicap depending on who the bookmakers favour.

As the bet was Keighley -2. She was effectively betting on us to win by more than 2 points, in this scenario the game starts Blackpool 0 Cougars -2

So as we only won by exactly 2 she lost the bet because with our handicap the score ended up 22-22.

Its alright Stealth, Girl Power clearly has something against me, I assume because I dont travel by poor public transport every fortnight all the way from Huddersfield. Otherwise I havent a clue why. But anyway...Clearly Girl Power doesnt bet, or if she does, then she can have a blinkered look at matters if I'm concerned with it.
The price is actually 10/11 or 1.9 both sides, as the bookies have to make a profit, and I should know, I work for them!
