Four Keighley Cougars players opened the brand new Sue Ryder shop in Haworth on Tuesday, The charity which runs the Manorlands hospice in Oxenhope has refurbished the Haworth outlet with the theme of vintage and retro clothes and memorabilia.
Cougars players, Chris Baines, Brendon Rawlins, Jonny Presley and Tom Hall were delighted to open the shop especially as Sue Ryder is Keighley Cougars main charity. The opening of the shop was extremely popular with local residents who enjoyed champagne as they shopped.
Shop manager Sue Leighton said 'We would like to thank all those people who kindly donated as without them the shop would not be here, We continue to ask people to look in their attics and cupboards for vintage clothes and memorabilia.'
Sue Ryder Care's other 16 shops in the area will supply suitable items from their own donations. The shop in Bridgehouse Lane also has a range of more traditional charity shop goods. It is open seven days a week from 9am to 4.30pm.
