| a Aussie. He has played in the Queensland cup, but has English ancestry so wont count on the overseas quota.
Got this news in a phone call  and as pre normal, have been asked not to name the player 
So i will leave that to the club to do. |

Sorry but any overseas player is money out of the game and at championship level it's plain crazy.
But I'm not unique in thinking this is wrong but then again I don't run a RL club so.......................
It still will not change my opinion.

I agree with Leaguefan
Clubs shouldn't be allowed to sign foreigners unless they're internationals.
It's wrong on so many levels, taking money out of the game, denies honest NL players a crack at the big time and why bother spending time on bringing through a kid that may sell out and cross codes when you can bring a second rate Okker in who'll do a job straight away?
Don't get me wrong, if the likes of Inglis, Slater and the Hayne twins were coming over i'd be all for it but it's the mediocre ones who are coming over which is wrong.

Bring it on I say. Its only one player and it takes 17 players to make a team. Barry needs to add players to have a decent shot at staying in NL1, players are coming through, but it also means bringing in from outside and if that means from the other side of the world, so be it.

It'd still be nicer if we could sign british players. It makes you laugh when you read of all these aussies who are "really keen to play in England" - how come they only seem to make it towards the end of their careers then?
