| In a cracker at Cougar Park. The National U18's side came out winners against the champions. Luke Whiteley got the ball rolling after 6mins to put Keighley 4-0, but a couple of eras saw Celtic edge infront. But Whiteley then grabbed his 2nd of the game, converted by Callum Hudson, then Ben Stead then scored under the sticks and converted himself to put Keighley infront at the break.
After the break the sides swapped the lead 3 times with Jack Cawood scoring in between Celtic scores. Keighley were on the attack again and Sam Walker was certain to score when the ball was stripped while Walker was going down, a try was awarded, Stead kicked the conversion and the extra kick infront of the sticks for a rare 8-point try and the Celtic stand-off sinbinned for his infringment. Hudson made the game all but safe with a converted try of his own. The visitors scored the last try, but it was too little, too late.
Final Score:
Keighley Cougar Cubs 34 Celtic Crusaders Colts 30
Tries:
Whiteley (2)
Stead
Cawood
Walker (penalty try)
Hudson
Goals:
Hudson (2)
Stead (2)
Quick mention for a couple of the other cubs teams. U14's who played Driglington at home, 16-0 down just before halftime and cameback to win 28-22. The U12s who went Scarbprough on saturday and won 11-10.

| Absolutley stonking game ..end to end stuff and a pleasure to watch.
The Cougar Boys were outstanding and produced a performance to be proud of,
you were all fantastic 1 to 17 of you ... some amazing goal line defence plus superb attacking options when needeed..n Cal Hudsons pass to put Jack Cawood in would have had Eddie n Stevo salivating last night ..as good as it was,sod Inglis, Thurston ,Lockyer , n Slater.
But much must be said of the Welsh lads who never ever displayed any of the tactics employed by other teams facing the Cubs in the past few weeks, n ,despite their higher position in the league ,..and played their part to make it a nailbiting finish
Both teams a credit to their coaches n clubs ..
Nuff Said .. just quality one of the best games I've seen in a long time !

| Glad we dont get too many 8-point tries. Could'nt work out who I give it too. Sam Walker who was set to score until it was stripped out 2 on 1, or Ben who grounded just in case. But been told its the guy would have scored, Sam in this case. And the penalty was actually given before Ben grounded.
