We might be lucky to even score but if we do I reckon on Tomkin or Eastmond.
Still a team with the tried, trusted and FAILED included again!!

| Whilst we have a relatively young and inexperienced back division we have a formidable pack.
If they can dominate, we've got a fighting chance.
Will be intersesting to see our half-backs do, especially Eastmond, he going to be some player.
England 24-20 Okkers
Keep the faith.

| The problem is, as it has been for a long time and as most people concede, we can match if not beat them in the forwards, look at their pack and ours and I know which I would pick without a doubt. Then they shift it wide and they look dangerous and they only looked really dangerous down that side (Hayne and Hodges didn't really offer anything all match) . Where there main attacking threat (Inglis) was. Second half, he obviously though Eastmond was a better defender in that right third and it worked. You can see that when Australia try work there way out of trouble, they look to get it out to Inglis asap but we wrapped him up, combine this with the fact that or forwards were getting on a roll and letting Tomkins, Eastmond and the reast play we showed what we can really do. From now on lets start from minute one and show what we can do. I dont subscribe to this Australia took their foot off the gas. Australia were just tired because of the defending they were doing on the back of our possession. Forwards were constantly punching holes in the line and I cant wait till they take on the Kiwi pack next week. The Kiwis are a big team and I honetly think they will struggle with the likes of Eastmond and Tomkins running at them. England by 10 for me! You heard it here first.

Possibly. In fact I think we want to win to badly we don't stick to any sort of plan orstructure hence the massive gaps.

| 1-5 let us down again!
If we're ever going to consistantly challenge Australia and New Zealand our youth coaching system needs a radical overhaul.
I think we should be taking the philosophy of the 3 great soccer academies of the world Ajax, Barcelona and Boca Juniors who have between them produced 11 of FourFourTwo magazine's 100 best players in the world..
1) Teach kids how to play the game before teaching them how to win games. Technically our players are light years behind the Australians.
2) Encourage creativity, don't stifle it. How long is it since we've produced an out and out genius at 6 or 7?
3) Play a similar style of play with the kids to what the first team/ national team do so that when talent comes through they slot straight in.

Exactly, we should innovate instead of imitate.
What we need is a coach who will move the game forward like Herbert Chapman and Rinus Michels did in football.
Apart from Strength, Speed and Conditioning, the way Rugby League has been played hasn't changed much in the last 20 years.

| Lets enjoy the moment for the next few days.
Then reality will kick in.
Australia to win but a closer game providing England play off the cuff and allow the natural talent of the players rein.
Play to the book or set pattern and they will be hammered (See 1st half at Wigan)
And this is the sad part, I wouldn't miss GB/England matches v the Aussies once upon a time and had great days out.
There is no attraction to me ( and quite a lot of others) now to go the games, probably because they are foregone conclusions and the current state of the game as a whole.
