Yes some of the towns fans language was poor,and a number apologised for it. but a lot of your fans were shouting inbreds and such,which if my kids were around i wouldnt be very happy about,but im sure its ok as it was the cougars fans, and lets be honest they werent very loud. also the tackle was pretty bad on holt and its probably because your players are sicking of him kicking your team to death,again yesterday he was head and shoulders above your 2 half backs.

Those that were stood behind me didn't, they even ignored repeated requests from a Marshal. But I suppose when there are several dozen drunk fans chanting abuse, and one marshal, there aint much he can do. We have tried very hard to generate a family atmosphere this year and its a real shame that several families felt the need to leave half way through the second half.



No it's not acceptable, even if some of the home fans were annoyed at the behaviour of some of your fans.



Holt had an excellent game, and from what I saw, the "tackle" deserved a penalty but was not as serious as some are making out. It's just a shame that your teams "swinging arms" on already held players and knees and elbows on prone players went unpunished by the ref.

It's also a shame that you feel the need to come on our board gloating. I've been on your board to say well done, I didn't feel the need for petty sniping.

For the first try. As soon as it was scored, i said "this wont be allowed Schicks blocked a man".

As for the Holt tackle. From where we were stood, near the scoreboard. It looked bad. Hands between the legs, legs above horizontal and head first into the ground.
I, as well as others stood near by thought it was bad.

I was very surprised that it didn't at least go on report.

There are lots of controversial penalties given for dummy runners.

My interpretation is that if the defender falls for the dummy and moves to make a tackle then no penalty should be given. Would need another angle than Micky's video but it looks to me like the defender runs out of the line to grab Shickle. It's not until he realises he's been had that he tries to push shick out of the way and changes direction toward the scorer. Notice that shickel puts his hands in the air and does not grab the defender, as suggested by the ref.



Bad tackle, should have been a penalty, but looking at the video the head is not driven into the ground. Holt puts his arm down and rolls onto his shoulder. I wouldn't be surprised if the RFL don't review it anyway, "on report" seems to be a waste of time these days.

im sorry if i came across as gloating,that was not my intention,what so ever. i was just pointing out that every set of fans have a few who get carried away after a few beers. the game was massive in our clubs history as we have been through some very rough times since our super league year. so a lot of the fans were probably letting emotions get the better of them. i had a good crack and laugh with a few of the cougars fans,then we shook hands and wished each club the best of luck. yes the language possibly got a bit out of hand especially from a few of the younger fans, but there was no threatening behaviour from either side,and the atmosphere was pretty good from both sides. i wish you the best of luck vs rochdale as we have had bad experiences with a few of there fans when they have travelled to derwent park(especially the women).and hopefully we can both show in the final that there is life outside of super league and clubs with sugar daddys.
