| Keighley Town Council have shown their support for the town’s professional Rugby League club by making a presentation of £12,000 to the Cougars Community Foundation.
The money is being used to help fund the Cougar’s Community action initiatives and the development staff at the Co-operative Championship One club.
Helen Carter, the Cougars’ General Manager, said: “We really appreciate the support shown by Keighley Town Council. We share the same kind of values as the Council and this funding ensures that we can continue to contribute to the well being of the community in the town and surrounding areas”.
The town’s mayor Cllr. Amjad Zaman and Cllr. John Phillip made the presentation of the money to the club at halftime in last Sunday’s Carnegie Challenge Cup Fourth Round tie against engage Super League club Castleford Tigers at Cougar Park on Sunday.
