Today has been just as bad as that. Not competed in any area of the field, we've been outplayed, outclassed and outnumbered all over the field.

Absolutely disastrous so far, if we win this it'll almost be as big a robbery as when they beat us 2-1 last year.

Thought Liverpool looked very dis-jointed today. Going forward they looked poor. Too many times a player unsuccessfully tried to take a defender on rather than looking to pass the ball, the passing was sloppy and they gave the ball to Spurs far too cheaply, far too often. Needless to say, they missed Alonso.

I actually thought they improved alot when Benayoun came on for Babel. I'd like to see him start, as Babel doesn't look to be kicking on from being a 'potentially good player'.

I'm sure banter will be exchanged quite a lot over this coming season!

Personally i think Chelsea will win the league but if we can get the front line firing i can see united making it four in a row. Berbatov is looking like he's lost a bit of timber and is doing a lot more running off the ball which can only be a good thing, he was unlucky no to bag a goal or two today.

Ryan Babel didn't impress me one bit, especially after we had that conversation a few weeks ago about how he needs to up his game this season or he could find himself out of the door.

, at least some of our players have performed well in England, but Babel has shown almost nothing in two years, yet our fans still think he's some kind of world class player just waiting to explode. I've waited years and if anyone's come close to exploding, it's me absolutely furious watching him steal a living.

To be honest, today everybody was shocking, only Johnson and Reina done themselves proud, I don't know WTF was up but a game against Stoke in three days isn't the best recipe to get back on track.

From what i've seen of Babel he just doesn't seem to have what it takes i'd compair him to Nani, although i do think Nani has what it takes to kick on from here. I watched the game today and the midfield just looked totally disjointed which ment Gerrard had to drop back deep leaving Torres upfront on his own, as good a striker he is he can't do it alone upfront.

I also think Liverpool may struggle this season in defence as Johnson will attack with the best but doesn't seem to track back enough and this could really expose Carraghers lack of pace in the .

I think you'll really struggle with the loss of Alonso this year because he is one player that you can honestly call CLASS and he was the player that gave Gerrard leisence to attack in the way thats so effective
