It might well be, but bar the top two the standard of football is more like league 2 in England.

last 2 games i've been at have been an 8 goal thriller and a six goal thriller which didn't involve the old firm.

I didn't say it wasn't entertaining, just that the standard (I.e technical ability) of football isn't as high as in England.

Ferdinand had ZERO chance of getting off with the offence. His appeal made him available for the semi when he should have been sitting out a ban. The ban was as blatantly frivolous as you can get. They've now appealed against that the additional ban, which is just another waste of time. It's said that Fergie is backing this appeal as Ferdinand wouldn't play in the CCF anyway, so he won't really be missing anything if he does get an extra game.

It would serve them right if they get an extra 3 matches on top of the existing 4 matches, but I doubt the option is open.

I agree with the basis of United's argument though. There will be many incidents similar to Ferdinand's which don't receive any punishment whatsoever. It has to be asked why all incidents that are captured aren't taken further, rather than a random selection. But that isn't a reason for United to appeal their ban.

Hull City better side in the first half. Worked really hard and shut Chelsea down well. Anelka and Ballack really should have done better with the chances they had.

Hull's goal was from an excellently delivered corner put right in where all their attackers were converging. One of these that you's annoyed by initially because it just looks like dreadful defending, but when you look at the delivery and movement there ain't much you can do.
