| I think Sunny should be in there. In her prime she was stunning, and for a time the entire tag scene in the WWF was about her.

Maybe he should be in the top 10 for 'Legendary Penis Sizes'? They must have given Randy the in ring ability and they must have thought 'we have to give Lanny something, how about a monster penis?'

| TLC was a good PPV.
Even with Matt Stryker referring to Santino and Kozlov as "Stalin and Mussolini but nicer."

nasty nasty fall by beth, and a cracker (even if we've seen it before) by del rio. They never seem to get the fall right on that and only land on one table and the floor.
What did you think to jomo/sheamus? A couple of reports i've read suggest that it was a breakout performance, i don't know about that much but it was probably the best crowd reaction/support i've heard him have at an event.

The crowd didn't seem that into it, which was a shame cos it was one of the best ladder matches I've seen in a long while. Great spots and some good psychology.
Only sad part is that Morrison is unlikely to get a regular main event spot off the back of his up coming title match against Miz.
And the finish for the Kofi/Swagger/Ziggler match? What was THAT about?

| dolph was supposed to be in place to catch the belt underneath as it fell.
i thought at the time it was an aborted finish due to swaggers injury, which i think was legit, but then you had the finish to the divas match, which also aparently was correct, it wasn't supposed to break at the first impact.

It seems Orton is nailed on to win the Rumble. Since Morrison won on Sunday the Miz has been kept feuding with Orton. Orton hit his finished on the miz on Monday night and beat Miz by DQ on Tuesday. It does appear that the Miz/Morrison match is just a filler for the Royal Rumble, and I don't see Morrison staying at Main Event level. He may possibly win MITB and get his push later in the year, but for now he is just filler. And I don't believe they want Miz to beat too many 'Top Guys' in his first run.

| orton's carrying injuries, which is why they've dumped cena nexus early so they can get superman back in the title picture from the rumble onwards.
i'm a bit surprised that they've put jomo up there at this point, they're already testing the water with miz, usually they put them against a mainstay.

| Have a look on that popular video sharing website for WCW Spring Break Nitro 1998, and find the segment with the Outsiders. Absolutely priceless, as Nash would confirm years later in a shoot interview they were both hammered, makes for funny/entertaining TV though.

No doubt because "Creative's got nothing for you"
Like the great Jim Cornette says "Well then fire the f*****g writers, not the talent!!!"
'" he does make an interesting point.
'In Mid-South, if Bill Watts had brought in a head booker and he'd have come back to him and said 'I don't really have anything for this guy' Watts would have fired him on the spot'
It's so true, it's the writer's jobs to provide storylines and angles for the talent. And when they can't do that, the fire the talent! Ludicrous! Eugh, WWE Annoys me sometimes. Not that I was ever a Kaval fan, but, the whole process stinks, and at least the Kid could work, unlike a lot of the guys on top.

| Quote ="Jeff the God of Biscuits"They have just recently gotten rid of most of their writers and are in the process of replacing them with...Hollywood & TV Writers. Jesus wept. Watching a the Nash & Waltman shoot just recently and Nash talks about how it used to be Pat & Vince doing the booking and everything would be booked for at least 12 months. Why can't we get back to that? Just have say Vince & Pat doing RAW and Steph & Michael Hayes on Smackdown, and they come together and book the PPVs. What is the need for all these writers? They don't seem to do anything except say 'Err, we got nothing for you kid'.
Speaking of Cornette, and I think you were referring to the Guest Booker [I Think that he did for KFC [Kayfabe Commenteries he does make an interesting point.

FFS, why hire guys for a wrestling company who know nothing about wrestling eh?! Oh wait, that's right, WWE is not a wrestling company, it's an entertainment business isn't it. When will they ever realise that they're wrestling, nothing else. Every other venture they try fails miserably (films, bodybuilding, American football etc). Just be proud of been a successful wrestling promoter rather then trying to take over the world Vince ffs.
Yeah that's the one, fantastic interview with JC as always. Talks so much sense.
Same here mate, love them but hate them sometimes too. It's the little things lately that are getting annoying, e.g:
- Trying to avoid using the terms 'wrestler' or 'wrestling' on their programme (e.g. always using 'Superstar' instead) because they want to be seen as more then wrestling
- Never referring to referees by name - what's all that about?!
- Not using the word 'belt', it's 'championship' or 'title' apparantly. Any reason?!
Grrrr.

Why they can't go back to basics is beyond me. Just get one guy the fans love, one guy the fans hate, give them a reason to fight, and let them fight. Stupid gimmicks haven't worked in the past. The only really succesful gimmick is the Undertaker gimmick. Really, all the rest of the truly big names in Wrestling history have been themselves. Austin, Rock, Hogan, HBK, etc etc.
Build the company around the young talent they have. Miz, Morrison, Danielson, Barrett, Sheamus, Ted Dibiase, Cody Rhodes, Orton etc you have the basis of a great wrestling company. Sure some of these guys aren't the finished article. Sheamus & Barrett only being in WWE for a 2 years and a year respectively but are already main event talent. Throw in a couple of veterans there to get the talent over. triple H, Big Show, Edge, Mysterio etc. It's not rocket science!

Makes sense to me mate. One of the problems these days though is that there's no scope for creativity - everything in WWE from the promos to the matches are scripted word-for-word or move-for-move. Whilst this may seem great to a Hollywood writer, what it means (and a lot of wrestlers knock the scripted nature in shoots) is you basically end up with a bunch of guys who all look and sound the same. Nobody stands out now really in WWE, the guys getting the pushes are often big muscular guys who are jacked up. Like you said they need to go back to basics, but also try some new and innovative things.
- Build a strong women's division e.g. get Gail Kim back on TV, + maybe even bring in ODB and Awesome Kong
- Make tag-team wrestling important again
- Re-build the importance of all the belts (sorry, 'championships' ) e.g. by not switching champions every f*****g week.
- Maybe even start a fresh cruiserweight division and take it seriously.
Just been watching the documentary part of the Y2J DVD. He talks about how vital WCW's incredible Cruiserweight division was to their company in the mid-late 90's - many fans tuned in because you knew you could be entertained by the best high-flying athletes in the world, doing moves and combinations that were off the chart. WWE could re-create this by taking a chance on some ROH guys and some young Mexican & Japanese wrestlers. Won't happen, but would be good if they did.
Hate to say it but I think the next five years or so are going to be very grim indeed for the company. Buy-rates are dropping all the time, business across the board is way down (never thought I'd see the day when they'd fail to sell out a TV taping in the UK for example), + the PG Era must be drawing away a lot of people. It's all very well the kids been into WWE, but they don't have the wages in their pockets that the 18-35 year old guys had to spend on Austin t-shirts, event tickets, PPV's etc.
IMO they're gonna have to tough out some very lean years indeed, till the Mattel/PG deal ends, then slowly re-build a company that has a versatile roster of great men, women, cruiserweights, tag-teams etc, with an edgy product to appeal to all ages, but mostly to the 18-35 year olds like UFC does right now.
On the plus side, don't forget there's always live wrestling going on around the UK, just a case of seeking it out with companies like All-Star.

| Apparantly Kaval asked for his release, as the WWE didn't fit his style.
Anyone catch the Regal-Daniel Bryan match on monday, was great stuff. AJ Styles - Doug Williams at the latest TNA tapings is supposedly a great one too.
