I fancy Rewilding as well. For the International I'm torn between Rip and Byword.

Byword will definitely be there staying on and doesn't mind a bit of cut in the ground either. IIRC Rip has never raced on anything officially worse than 'good'.

If Dick Turpin stays then he will trouble them as well though, only two I'm ruling out are Stimulation and Bushman. Both have served connections proudly but can't ever see either of them winning a race of this calibre.

As for Rewilding, he was a real eyecatcher at Epsom and finished like a train despite looking ill at ease for a lot of the race and races like this were always his next target en-route to a possible Leger tilt. Midas Touch will take a lot of beating though. Total Command could be the E/W bet at around 12/1 though.

Can't see any value in backing anything e/w in the Juddmonte as you're basically backing an outsider to finish ahead of Rip Van Winkle, Twice Over and Byword and I just can't see it happening.. Dick Turpin apart, I couldn't back anything else at even 100/1 e/w.



Looking at both Monterosso and Ted Spread in the earlier race as possibly a bit of value...

Bought as a hurdles horse in 2009 and will go jumping after this race had its problems (nearly died after being gelded) which meant a big delay to its hurdles debut and means its lighly raced for a 5yo, only two years ago won Group 2 in France for Fabre and also finished 2nd in a Group 1 running to a mark of 118, came back after 412 days off track to win a Class 1 race over Nanton on ground which it wouldn't have liked, they took it out of the John Smith's Cup because they wanted to wait for the ground to give abit

Darley Sun 20/1 E/W

Won the Cesarewitch easily last year then moved to Godolphin 3rd in its first start in a Group 2 ahead of Illustrious Blue who went close in a Class 1 and then won a Group 2 since and just behind Saptapadi who was 3 lengths behind Sans Frontieres at the weekend, was well out of it in the Gold Cup like many but could be in with a shout if progressing with Godolphin finding some form.

Did it for the Stewards Cup came 7th good few in front have come out and done well, dropped 1lb from that race an has a claimer taking 7lbs off.

Having my first bet of the day on Rewilding. If I backed Midas Touch, it would be purely be down the the stable. So I haven't. Connections of Rewilding are adamant he will be seen at his best on a track such as this.

Rip Van Winkle though fcking hell came from nowhere wonder what it hit inrunning!

They said on the tele the highest it was matched at on the exchanges in running was 64/1 (ouch!) Twice Over was matched as low as 1/5, again (ouch!)

I didn't think it was going to get up in time to be honest but to lay it @ 64/1 oh dear

Did jack all at York today, had Haajes each way in the first at 20/1, came 4th in a 15 runner race (2 pulled out) so just missed the place return.

Football, Im doing ok, would love to see Spurs win against Young Boys.. half time / full time would be even better.

Off to York races on Thursday now... by myself !

Bloody annoying day today. Picked 4 of the 1st 6 winners at York but was rushed off my feet and couldn't get to a bookies due to a working lunch. Thought I would be out by 6 but ended up getting out at 8 after telling all and sundry at work that Spurs would struggle on the artificial pitch of YB Bern and that YB were well worth a dabble. 3-0 to YB after 30 mins

Shame Ask won't be in it would of been all over it, most of this field have faced each other a few times this year with not much between any of them, taken a chance on Samuel though who ran well in staying flat races and then was not seen for two years coming back in the Coral Marathon Stakes over this trip and travelled better then any on the run for home maybe lack of a run for 2 years told but if coming out of that race with no ill effects it should be fitter and have a good chance.

Facetheproblem shouldn't have too many problems in the 16:05, won well it its last 2 races and should be too good for that field

York 1.45 Anhar 11/1 E/W 3.3 to place

Unexposed 3 yo went off at 9/2 last time out with visor on for the first time which it didnt seem to like so thats come off, last run was poor anyway but the times before its shown bits of talent against some good horses like Wigmore Hall and Ted Spread its high in the weights at 9st 8lb but has the best RPR in the race of 103 which was off an OR of 96 and is now 100 but I think it can improve on this mark.

Just had a good word about one running in the 5 30 at Folkstone, cloud rock, looks set to go off about 9/2.

Done Martyr in the Ebor 7/1 win so impressive last time out still a big threat with the penalty dont think 7/1 will be around tomorrow.
