ITV showing themselves up to be as usual, well Matt Smith anyway by claiming 'Greece put it on a plate for South Korea' very unfair, Korea played very well and fully deserved their victory. Greece were awful but Korea didn't let them play and should have had at least another two.

Korea played with a lot of speed and movement at times and the pedestrian Greek side couldn't live with them.

Argentina played some good stuff, but can definitely be got at defensively, Gutierrez at right back is an accident waiting to happen, and they could be vulnerable at set pieces as they don't have any particularly strong headers of the ball, maybe with the exception of Heinze.

As for worst host: how on earth is Chiles employed? He has an absolutely woeful sense of humour, yet he continually 'forces' his jokes upon the guests. How many times did he have to ask Vieira 'would you go on holiday with Capello?' before he realized he isn't funny? Complete and utter tvat.

Thought James would start with the squad numbers. Hope Heskey plays well but I aren't expecting much. Milner offers a bit more of a defensive option so not really much of a surprise.

As for our GK I hope Hart is given it after the WC. Tell him it's his to lose for the next 10 years and get behind him. Look at what it did for Casillas getting made first choice at 21. If we nurture him well Hart will be a top top goalkeeper in my opinion.

When the alternative is playing Michael Carrick I think it's worth another go!

I've always thought the problem wasn't just those two, but we also had Rooney and Joe Cole in the side who did their best work in the same part of the pitch, behind the striker(s).

Hopefully by now they are experienced and disciplined enough to make a decent enough fist of it, won't fancy it up against the better teams though.

I guess we'll see then.

Well, despite the goal, it's not working for me, the midfield has been pretty anonymous so far - even if Tyldesley and Townsend think it's been "solid".

We're not playing very well at all, Rooney and Lampard have been anonymous, and Green just showed why he shouldn't be our number 1, apparently he made more mistakes leading to goals than anyone else in the Premier League last season.

Poor game and even dozed off on 23 minutes. England need to go at them and stop fannying about in the middle of the field. The US are an average team with a couple of good players.
