Dont appreciate everyone jumping on the bandwagon when its united though. Every club has an element of p!ssed up young lads acting up, its gone on for decades in football. It was nowhere near as bad as whats being said in parts of the media. I dont condone people acting up like this but it will always happen when theres large groups of lads boozed up.

Why is it that all the press are making out Liverpool to be actually bothered about their defeat to Arsenal. If the were bothered about the cup they wouldn't have played the team they did!

The same could be said for Arsenal after Wenger's selection.

I think Wenger knows that the team he put out was good though a lot of them have been playing together in the CC for a few years and have won plenty of games for him. As for Rafa I wouldnt say he wanted to lose but I cant see him being too interested in the CC with the teams injurys and lack of depth!

The way the press pass it off, though - is that one manager doesn't care, whilst the other does. They talk up Arsenal and their youngsters, saying how amazing it is that Wenger can just play these youngsters and beat Liverpool. They think Benitez should care because this is a 'major competition', but we played a very weak squad and gave them a good game.

It's just the way they say things, they will say 'Wenger's kids knock Liverpool out'. If it was the other way around, would they say 'Rafa's kids knock Wenger's out'?

Correct, neither manager was really bothered. Its just a competition that allows the blooding of new talent and gives fringe players a chance to impress.
