Junior playing gets the brain ticking regards next week.

The Saints 7 is a little $*h!t house.

Comfortable win, as it should’ve been looking at the teams. Impressed with Eckersley again and he definitely looks ready to take that next step and be first choice back up to the centres/wingers.

Agreed, he seems to have got bigger since the last time I saw him. Thornley is obviously more developed, but Eckersley has a similar frame.

All in all, it looks positive.

Hopefully he gets a few games next year

MoM in my opinion, he had the easy beating of Hurrell today. Makin was excellent also, the best forward on the field. It’s always nice to beat Saints but nilling them is better.

Perfect test for Eckersley against Hurrell going in to next season, when he looks like moving up the pecking order. It should give him great confidence coming out on top in that battle.

Hurrell made Thornley look like Dean Bell today.

Great result that doesn't do justice to Wigan's dominance in the game, even with a nil scoreline! Eckersley is an outstanding prospect. Size, pace, great footwork and an aggressive defender. More than ready for the first team and needs to get good game time next year. Not hyperbole to suggest he made Hurrell look ordinary. Comfortably the MOM.

Good performances all round with Makin, in particular, shining in the forwards. He doesn't look the biggest but runs it in as if he is. I hope his size isn't a barrier to progression as his attitude and work ethic seem top draw. Did 50 minutes straight and came back on for another stint at the back end of the match so clearly has an engine too.
