| A year with MND is on BBC 2 tomorrow (Monday) at 7 p.m.
Such a tragic story.
Not to be missed, one the nicest people I have ever met.

| Well, I will watch it. Pretty sure I am not going to enjoy it.
I was totally shocked at the footage of him when Barrie and he thanked the Wigan club for the shirt sales for charity about three weeks ago.
Physically he looks just the same (as best as I could tell), but I really struggled to understand what he said.
Shocking and terribly sad.
All the best to the man.

Sadly the disease looks to have gripped him really quickly. His voice was the tell tale sign in the early days of this but on footage I saw the other day he’s now using a wheelchair and it looked a real struggle for him to be able to walk.
I’ll watch the programme tonight and hope it really helps to give this awful disease some much needed focus. As rugby league fans it’ll be a tough night watching it but he’s doing this to help others by raising awareness.
What a legend.

OMG, in a wheelchair!!!
Dreadful.
I heard recently that Doddie weir is also in a wheelchair most of the time as well.
Let's hope some good comes out of the programme
As you say, 'what a legend'.

Feel the same. Horrendous condition and a player i always enjoyed watching unless it was against us. I wont be able to watch it though as id rather remember the man and not the illness, if that make sense.

I don't want to watch it, but he has done the programme for a reason. I assume the reason is to raise awareness, therefore with gritted teeth I will be watching.
Need to sort something out to watch after to raise my spirits.
Just told my wife about the programme and she nearly started crying there and then. Going to be a tough one

| I’ll be recording this programme, it’s not something I particularly want to watch if I’m being honest but I feel it’s something I must watch. The ‘trailer’ for it was utterly heartbreaking, it honestly brought my close to tears. Mainly because Rob was one of the opposition who you just couldn’t hate, a genuine player with honest and genuine intentions who’d always be a role model.
A lot of players these days would learn a lot from him.

| Shocking to see how quickly it has progressed - he was playing rugby in January. I expected it to progress over a number of years similar to Mike Gregory. Much respect to all of the Leeds players who have shown great friendship during all of this and best wishes to Rob and his family - he's been incredible.

It’s been changed to tomorrow (13/10/20) at 7pm because of the government announcement

| What can you say about that. So many emotions watching it and whilst it’s an unbelievably tough watch, there were parts that made you smile and to see the pride and the love he has for his family/friends and vice versa gives you comfort. He’s fighting it but it’s so cruel how quick it’s advancing. As soon as it’s allowed I’m sure rugby league as a whole will go in to overdrive in its efforts to fundraise and to spread awareness. To have to deal with the situation around Covid at the same time as this has been horrendous for them I’m sure.

| Sad to see Rob Burrow in the state he is in watched the program tonight shed a tear from the Beep Beep which we all knew to his present state. I feel sorry for his family his wife and parents must be going through hell knowing he is dying and no cure touching point was when Rob said he was glad it was not his children had caught the disease.

| My Wife and I found the programme very emotional in the way that this great player had become a victim of the terrible MND disease so soon after retiring from the game.
People should not have to suffer like he is doing!
So sad, for Rob, his family and all those close to him.

| Watched this this morning. I’m heartbroken by it, the most profound moment for me was at the end when he’s speaking to Sally Nugent through his phone not being able to speak and he says “I’m determined to beat this disease. My positive mind set will let me beat it.”
What a human, what a man.

| My God, that was not easy.
I take my hat of to the Burrow family for doing this for the greater good.
His deterioration is so fast and a real tragedy. I just hope he continues on for as long as possible with the dignity he has earnt and deserves.
Respect.
