| From four wingers down to one, I'd put Sarginson there and leave Hankinson at centre.

Give Tommy a week off and take Smithies out of the fray.
Escare to play a bit of half with Sharrocks pushing up to 9.

I would have Sarginson in his usual role probably Hankinson on the wing.

Hank struggled with the wing position against Saints. I’d leave him at centre and play Sarge on the wing. Failing that, Sarge centre and Escare on the wing.

| Rests for Leuluai and Smithies for me-
Hardaker
Escare Sarge Gildart Marshall
Williams Shorrocks
Flower Powell Tautai
Isa Greenwood Partington
Bullock Navarette Lockers Hankinson
I’d start Tautai just to get his spell out the way whilst the whole teams fresh. I’m going on a basis if he can’t do any worse then when he comes from the bench. I’d give Partington what should probably be his last start for a while and ask the lad to up his workrate with the ball. If he can’t do that against London then he’s got issues long term.

Not a bad shout at all. When we’ve started well, we’ve allowed teams back into it after our 1st subs come on. Having better props coming on might stop that rot. Sad when that’s how we have to approach games.

It is indeed and I think starting with that pack is highlighting exactly the gaps the club needs to get out and fill. We need a starting prop in place of Tautai, a forward capable of playing at prop or loose forward and maybe even a third prop for next year (dependant on how things go over the rest of this year).
It’s frightening to think that around the middle we’re only really missing a totally out of form (or over the hill) Tony Clubb at the moment. The loss of Hamlin was a big one but that ships sailed and those forwards are missing Liam Farrell work rate to hide behind.

Yea we’re not missing a full pack anymore so no excuses now. I was ok (ish) with the losses at Cas and Wakey because of the situation with the forwards. That said, we kept Castleford tryless last week and we now have a benchmark to aim for. Lammy has said he’d like to think if we score 10 points, we’ll win the game.
We’ve shown we can attack and we’ve shown we can defend. We need to put both together consistently.
I’m expecting a big win on Thursday.

Use Hankinson to spell SOL and put ISA in the middle
Bullock much better impact off the bench.
Please stop saying Escare in the half’s.

| I’d put Hankinson in the concourse selling programmes and pick the next in line academy winger.

He had a cracking game against Cas. He’s defensively very strong and Lam has recognised it. I wouldn’t be surprised if he kept his place given that we are trying to keep improving our defence.

| Hankinson’s chance to make a career here at Wigan definitely looks to be as a second rower IMO. I didn’t understand the clamour to get him in for Isa before trying him in the position but I think we now have an opportunity to use him from the bench to cover both the back row and the centre. He was outstanding defensively on Saturday and he’s a big lad but he looks a yard short as a top level centre.
If I were him I’d put my hand up for the back row with a view to putting some size on in the off season and I’d work and work at my goal kicking. There’s is still a place in this side for a proper goalkicker.

He did a post match interview on Wigan TV and said he prefers moving inside to 2nd row over moving out to the wing. He seems to knows his own game well enough but I agree, 2nd row seems a more likely position for him if he is to forge a career at Wigan.
