Hull 10 Wigan 14 in a really good game today . a win was needed today to put positives in the team after all the negatives

Take that, hopefully onwards and upwards.

Much needed and it couldn’t have been against a better opponent in the grand scheme of things. We’ve a decent buffer and our game in hand now to play without too much pressure.

Sounded like we were our own worst enemy again in terms of lost ball but Hull were the same. Glad to get the win though and onto next week which in all honesty, I’m dreading!

This result's taken a load of pressure off the Cas game, hopefully they'll play with a bit of freedom and give it a real go.

Best team won on the day, even if you needed a bit of fortune with the winning score. Made miles more meters than we did and controlled the ball better near your own line.

No complaints about the result. The deluge had a big part to play.

A win is a win indeed, although the game didn't seem to be the best according to the radio commentary, but great to see Marshy go over for that winning score. Frankly, maybe like many, I didn't see this coming, but it really sharpens things up for the next two matches.

I listened to the opening half hour and final 25 minutes and what I heard Wigan were well on top and deserved victory.

I wouldn't say 'well on top' but certainly the better team in a tight game. Ran harder and made far more metres than we did. There was a bit of fortune for the match winning try but that's the game, it happens, we had a similar bit of luck in Newcastle.

Hull lacked a bit of nous at half back, I think if Sneyd had played Hull would've won.

Deserved to win but in dreadful conditions second half it was always gonna be tight . The thunderstorn was a belter lol

I was listening to Wish FM so it’s going to be biased to Wigan I suppose, the winning try was sounded ridiculously lucky.
You talk about the lack of nous at half back,we’ve been like that for the best part of 2 seasons!!!Sneyd has his limitations but he’s just the type of half we could do with.

And that's one good reason why I never comment on a game I haven't actually seen. Wish FM is the worst for it, they'd rather tell you who is tweeting about having a bbq or where they are on holiday than commentate on the game!!

I remember as a kid we didn’t have sky and I used to listen to football and think games where end to end then watch the highlights and they where nothing like described.
Williams got made to sound like he fluffed a lot yesterday but you can’t argue with those stats,although the more people mention it the more I think he would be suited to hooker.

Does anyone know why the game was played at such a strange time? I thought it must be due to sky, but it wasn't.

Hulls choice I think because they’ve played a couple at that time on a Saturday now. I’d love for us to follow suit when we can tbh. I always used to like the Saturday games on Sky before we were binned off to play on Thursdays instead.

We have our non-televised games on a Friday because of a survey some years ago which showed that was the most popular amongst our fans. I believe most other clubs schedule their games for similar reasons.

Hull have a couple of 'event' games on a Saturday afternoon every season where we have stuff going on in the park around the stadium pre-game and run ticket offers to get a big gate. This was one of them.

Didn’t watch or listen to the game but it’s a well needed 2 points in the bag. Lucky with the last try? Definitely but you make your own luck in SL.
