No, not losing the shield. The sight of Castleford fans at the end of the game cheering a team who they class as their rivals winning a trophy after an absolute pummelling and yet another season of complete mediocrity.

Anyway congrats to Leeds - disappointing to miss out like that but no doubt they deserved it more than we did over the course of the year. On to the real business and one final home game to win to get to Old Trafford.

Peculiar Yorkshire thing that. Loyalty to their county transcends local rivalry whearas fans of the big North West clubs like Wigan/Saints/Wire revel in anyone doing a number on one of their local Derby rivals, regardless of where the opposition comes from.

I know many people who support Cas and Wakefield who HATE Leeds when it comes to RL (and b*tch and criticise the city when it comes game time) yet when it comes to football they are Leeds United supporters.

As for the daft celebration at the end, was more to wind you lot up I'd guess and judging by the comments on here, it worked a treat. Additionally to see pics of Wane looking devastated on TV again, is pretty funny for any none Wigan fan.

As for accepting mediocrity maybe? But its a hell of an improvement (not tonight) from where we have come from. Even when you lot win you're sore losers and probably justifiably the most hated team in RL, with absolute soulless, plastic, robotic fans for good measure.

Both hudds and Leeds played some excellent rugby league- both those sides will be better prepared for a tough semi rather than the "friendly" you seem to claim cas gave you. Going to Wigan holds no fear as far as I'm concerned- shame the rfl insist on having important semi-final games on a Thursday night when many can't attend. Imagine the FA doing that......

As a Leeds fan I always shout for Yorkshire sides in any cross pennine match despite the fact that I have no special hatred of Wire or Saints. Surely Wigan fans don't cheer for us whenever we play Saints do they?

The fact that our coach was devastated by finishing 2nd is the reason he's had the success he has both as a player and coach. Laugh if you want, but that's why you're crap.

Having the opposition delight in your losses is part and parcel of being a supporter of a top club. But to be fair to Cas I doubt that many of those top clubs could have as consistently "over performed" given their resources, as the Cas club have. I think Powell has achieved incredible results given the resources and issues that he has had to deal with.

id 100 percent sooner Leeds win everything rather than you lot, based purely on the fact that Wigan are a bunch of salary cap cheating, thuggish knuckle dragging pigs and if it meant you lot win nothing ever again I'd be happy for Leeds to win it all. HTH
