Can someone please tell me what's going on with McIllorum and why he has such little game time last night.

Was a bit of an odd one that... I have no idea why he was on the bench if injured.. Very odd decision.

He pulled a hamstring in the warmup. Putting him on the pitch was a big risk IMO.

Daft decision from Wane to waste a bench spot on a half-injured player when Hampshire and Bateman were sat in the stands

it was stated that mm was 50/50 to play, so given the alternatives i don't know why he as on the bench either. sw was (with a face like thunder) talking to the physio with mm on the bike just before half time, so i suspect he might have been there due to sol being crocked & sw crossing everything in sight.
his presence wouldn't have stopped the nonsense going on anyway, were they thinking about which pair of lucky underpants they'd packed for the flight, or what?

With such a big game coming up it was really unusual to see us risk him. I really don't understand why they did it with the options we've got.

Particularly when we have Hopkins and Bateman - two players that would of added some aggression to the side.

Is Tomkins injured or his he out of favour?.

Out of favour I think. Wane started Powell the week before against Saints with Tomkins on the bench

I wonder would McIlorum have played on Friday had O'Loughlin been able to play?
