| He's been brilliant so far according to radio five live. They're saying there's a buzz around the crowd when he gets the ball.
Sounds promising.

| Pettybourne looks fantastic at the moment. CI just kicked to the other side so they wouldn't suffer from his kick return!
Runs the ball so hard and really aggressive. I would play him at prop in spells and keep him fresh.
How good is this WC so far? Another good crowd and a close first 20mins.

| Impressed with him so far! Especially seeing as he hadn't played for so long before tonight. He will fit well into our squad, looks in good shape!

| Exactly as I expected although his fitness looks off but hardly surprising given the time he has been out.
Dynamic strike forward with a nice bit of aggression and I have to say outstanding hair.
Will be a real asset for me but need to get him at the club with Bitcon ASAP.

| Fitness won't be an issue as he's heading into one of the toughest pre seasons of his career!
After that he's got 28 weeks to find fitness before really getting down to business!

| I have been massively impressed by the USA number 15. Made good yards every time on every carry. Not sure where he plays or if he is from the NRL but looks like one that could be worked on

| He'll do for me.
Big man, hard worker, strong runner and will be a real asset when our fitness team get hold of him.
Can't make my mind up whether he should play down the middle or wider from 2nd row.

| He did very well, 25 minutes first half and 30 minutes in the second. He also made a lot of tackles. It'll be very interesting to see him up against Dudson and Flower at Wrexham on Sunday.

Whilst I appreciate they were not the most organised they were a very physical defence and he made inroads into them more often than not.

He has a little more pace and footwork for me hence the reason I personally see him more as an impact second row. Running wide off flat balls he will cause defenses all kinds of trouble.
He plays with the same impact though and intensity of Lima.

Yes, a bit like a bigger version of Ben Flower. He also has an offload in him.

| Agreed. As I have said I think we will give us that little extra from the bench. One of the only things we lack is someone to change things from the bench.
In him, and for some reason next year Logan, I think we will have 2 players that will offer teams a something a little different to deal with when we rotate the forwards.

| Second Rower.
With his pace and no non-sense running he'll be outstanding on the edge in SL.

| i though he had a good game and was solid, when the tomahawks struggled for meters and being driven back in the tackle he still managed to make 8 to 10 meters. He is carrying a lot of body weight compared to his south sydney days but he has been out for a full season so hopefully Bitcon can get Dudson, Pettybourne and Powell back in to shape for the new season.

| I was fearing the worst given Wests fans wanting rid of him but he looked really good for the US. I don't know whether he's carrying a bit too much weight to be mobile enough for the second row but I think he would do a good job at prop. I'd consider having McIlorum do the full 80 in big games and have an extra prop on the bench. Flower could do one stint at prop then later come back on at second row.

I was always hopeful given that Michael Maguire wanted to sign him.
By his own admission, Ed had a bad year in 2013.

I'd quite like to see him play there. Strong competition with H and Faz who were in top form when it mattered last season despite any earlier season lapses or injures (i.e. they both played very well in CC and GF final's/play offs) but I always like to see wide running attacking 2nd rows. Really used to like watching Joel T play for this reason.
However I wonder if he is pencilled in for Mossop's replacement?

On a related note I always liked the look of Mossop as a wide running second row. I think he played there when he was Huddersfield. He certainly played that role for Wigan when he first came onto the scene.

Similarly
I always thought that Lauaki would have been a better 2nd rower than prop.
Just look at the impact Ali lauitiiti and Solomona had (granted Solomona has an amazing pair of hands)
Big bloke out wide can have a field day against 3/4 s and half-backs in defence.
