Anything which would rock the stagnant position the game is in would be fine by me, although I would file this under "extremely unlikely".

think it would be good for the game in they where say based at Salford. or one of the other struggling clubs.

I'd love it, base them somewhere in which RL as at least some basic interest, like Coventry or Nothingham, possibly Wales.
Reverse the eligibility rules, so they're all Antips with a sprinkling of Brits/Europeans.

It will liven up the comp, bring with it a lot of press and i would imagine they won't be poor financially and in support.

If they joined an alliance with a club like the London Broncos I think it would be great for the league and the growing in stature of the club but poor for any potential rugby league academy players in London who would have their potential spots taken in the first team by Aussies. The same situation would apply for any other alliances with lower tier super league teams. I'd rather see Leigh in the Super League than this circus idea.

How much do they reckon that would cost?
Travel to and from the UK on a regular basis. OK they'd come here and play perhaps four or eight games consecutively but that's still three or four trips a year plus hotels and training facilities etc.
How embarrassing would it be if they won the Grand Final?
Get the Pirates in with Toulouse, that would shake things up a bit
The RFL/SL won't vote for it anyway they are not that adventurous.

lets respond and ask the NRL to create a SL franchise down-under.
add a quota for a limited number of non-UK players, and this could work well.
use this as a way to allow players to test themselves in Aus with SL Clubs 'loaning' players for a couple of seasons, with first refusal on their return back to the UK, as opposed to potentially losing them forever.

If you flipped the rota rules for them, they wouldn't be able to field a team of Aussies under our salary cap. They would have to be some sort of youth team... Which would still probably walk into our top eight and really make it apparent how dire our league has become.

Have them play out of Cumbria. Still be called West Coast Pirates. Cumbria then has a SL team.
