If Wane plays the same team against Widnes as he did earlier in the year they'll win comfortably. It was a poor result make no mistakes but I think it's been proved since that Wane was correct in saying the side he selected was good enough to win the game.

We've beaten far better sides in Saints and Leeds since with more regulars missing. They may not have been quite as pivotal as guys like Tomkins and Leuluai but then Widnes don't have anywhere near the quality those two sides have.

Overall I'd go as far as to say the Widnes defeat has had a really positive effect on our season.

We are only playing widnes on the monday i think he means they will get 4 or 5 days off

Good common sense shown by Wane there, give the lads a rest now then kick on towards the semi final and latter part of the season. You cant flog players all year round especially after the tough period we have just had and it is good management imo.

I understood that as meaning a break from training, not meaning resting players v Widnes.

Depends who we are talking about. Mossop, Hock and Tuson should be in as they've not had a game in a long while anyway (granted 2 are in the England team).

Put your best team out every match. Dont give the opposition extra incentive by disrespecting them, I thought that lesson had already been learnt this season.
