I haven't seen this reported anywhere else but surely this is pretty much a career ending injury for him? He's set to turn 33 in September and I can't see us offering him an extension and I think he'll find it hard to get a Superleague berth next year.

I really feel sorry for the guy. I think he's played some fantastic rugby over the years (with his best form while at Bradford) and I hope he overcomes the odds to pull on the cherry and white jersey again at the end of the year. We may need him if our current run of injuries continues throughout the year.

33 and been out 2 years nah his best is behind him, sentiment plays no part in the modern game, been great for us but time to move on.

even if he did come back at the tail end of the season, why would he deserve a place in the team ahead of players who have been ripping it up all season, Wigan career over IMO, he did what he was paid to do and we are all grateful; to him for doing so, it's now time for younger player's to come to the fore and replace him

If anyone had a time machine, I doubt they'd go forward to August - more like back to 2005 when he was actually a good prop.

By which you are implying that he has been a bad prop in all the time since. Yey another so called Wigan fan on here totally willing to show their ignorance, if not their disrespect. If you can't remember what he has done for this club in our most desperate times you are wasting your time watching sport in general, let alone Wigan rugby league in particular.

no one is doubting what he has done for wigan but dont forget he came at a world record price and has been one of our top earners. i hope he does come back and plays well for us but im afraid hes at the wrong end of his career and time catches up with us all.
