| Great report as usual bilko. Prescott also missing from the forwards today, we really do have cracking depth in the forwards this year.

Your right - I forget about Prescott. One of the unsung heroes of our squad last couple of years.

| Thoughts on Goulding in the centre? I thought he was strong in defence, reading the attack well and making his tackles stick when coming out of the line. Also a great flick pass to set up Matty Russell's try. We did seem to get outnumbered a few times on his side though (can't decide whose fault that was) - good job we could rely on Dodgy to drop the ball.

I was pleasantly surprised actually, thought he did a good job.
I'm not his No1 fan, but he was solid and as you said a lovely pass to Russell.

| Goulding is a good job man. He'll put his shift in. But can he break a game when its required - thats the test of his ability at centre when it comes. Same could be said of Gelling as well in the next few weeks.

| Also looks like Faz is being groomed as the new Hoff i.e. recipient of the short ball from Finch. Didn't work yesterday but fingers crossed they can get a similar rapport going.

Get Hock running off Finches short pass and I cant see many stopping him.

| Not a fan of the short pass from Finch. It looks great when they come of but lets be honest they rarely do and the poor bloke on the end of it gets flattened more often than not.
I much prefer to see lots of running from deep. Deacon used to get us doing it last year and it worked to great effect. It only my opinion nut the short ball tactic is the equivalent of trying to make the easy yards when that is not the best option and it is so obvious when it comes.

I agree that its used to often. Still miles away from the turn back inside again and again Noble plays. In some games the back line looked too static and over reliant on Tomkins to provide the threat from behind.
