So, here we are, the end of the regular season, and we face Crusaders, who are playing thier last Superleague Game for what may be some time. In spite of their fate being sealed, rather cruelly a few short weeks ago, the players have still turned up and played for their fans week in week out.

Let's be fair, the tact, of lack therefore of, in announcing the withdrawl of the license application, was not one that anyone would wish on any player.

So, with the game on Friday being a Heritage Game, and The Crusaders bowing out, may I propose that the usual "Booo" welcoming them to the field is replace with applause and cheers from Wigan to show appreciation for playing on!

Of course, feel free to shoot me down, but I just feel that they deserve to hear a massive crowd applaud them as they take to the field to say thank you and goodbye.

I never boo anyway always clap the opposition onto the filed. Aftre all without them there would be no game!

I refuse to clap any team that we are playing, they are the enemy. I will not give them any respect before the game.

After the game will be totally different and I think the Crusaders players will deserve the reception they get at the end. I hope their fans come in numbers as well. I can see around 500 making the trip.

We should applaud every team but not with too much gusto.
By applauding we are the atithesis of the Leeds' fans.

I don't think we should boo them, but we shouldn't clap them onto the field.

You might want to think about growing the feck up then.

I clap them as a mark of respect. Always have, always will. Our game is built on respect and a caring environment. If anyone says I shouldn't or can't clap them onto the field, I will just laugh at you.

Clap them onto pitch, they only become the enemy when the whistle goes.

Why? I don't want to clap a team onto the field when they are trying to beat us. Clapping them will make them feel too confortable.

I will quite happily clap any team after the game.

I clapped Catalans superb try against us earlier in the season.

So I need to grow up because I don't fancy encouraging the team who we are playing against. Ok, that is a reason to grow the 'feck' up. I suggest somebody using the word 'feck' may need to grow up.

I never applaud the opposing team onto the field at home games. Simply because we never receive applause at any ground in the league and at the majority of grounds are booed on!

Because there's a difference between 'encouraging' and describing a visiting team, particularly one who've been through the sh11te (grown up enough for you?) that the Crusaders players and fans have in the last few weeks as the 'enemy'. Maybe I've grown out of the mindset where people like to brand themselves as 'true supporters', 'ultras' or any other benchmark of committed fandom but I find the 'look how partisan I am' approach regardless of the meekness of the opposition a bit depressing and slightly cliche. And as for my choice of words, there's a swear filter on here that I rarely care to make the effort to circumnavigate. I made a special effort above for you just to illustrate what a big lad I am.

It's nothing to do with their fans. It is about the players, like I said I respect them and will clap them after the game but I think we have seen a result of making the away team too confortable on a few occasions, I think it is part of the reason for our poor home form. Catalans and Quins have come in the past couple of years and settled easily, I don't think that is a good thing.

This is nothing to do with me trying to brand myself as a type of fan, I don't think I am a better fan because of this.

I think the atmosphere at our ground is way too friendly and visiting teams enjoy the trip a little too much.

I clap every team onto the pitch, some without much gusto, I reserve that for the entry of the Wigan boys.
I have always found booing short-sighted, it offers encouragement to the opposition. Look at Wembley when we boo other nations anthems, it just gives them an extra boost at the start to prove themselves.

Always clap the opposition onto the field, its a sign of respect and you have to respect players for playing rugby league, otherwise we would have nothing to watch!
