Apparently Sir Alex Ferguson was at training today to give the lads a team talk ahead of the final and how to perform on the Wembley stage.

He must have got a load of good ideas watching Man City and Barcelona last season.

No doubt this will get some stick because he is the United manager. Like United or not, the guy is one of the best managers in the world within any sport.

Obviously a great motivator and knows how to get players up for the big games. I am chuffed our club can get someone of this calibre to speak to the players. Wembley week is surely about making the players feel special, getting them fired up!

Any person involved in world sport must have great respect for Sir Alex Ferguson. He's a throw back to the old days and the success he's brought to United over such a period of time has been crazy. If I were a Wigan player I'd be mesmerised listening to him and would take in his every word.

Just a light hearted post to take your minds off tomorrow. When Fergie came to see the boys in the week.It turns out he got lost and drove right past the entrance to the stadium on Edge hall road. He ended up driving down the road and as it turned into as very narrow dirt track. He kept on driving. Finally after scratching both sides of his Audi He phoned madge up . In his own fashion he said to madge, where the F**k is the entrance im lost?. quite made me laugh when i heard this one.

Finally, an unbiased liverpool fan on this thread. Anyone in their right mind can't believe that bringing in a man who has won almost every trophy on offer as a manager could be bettered by bringing in a great football player instead. Fergie is the be all and end all of managers in all sports, and it will do your boys a world of good. Not that madge won't have had them motivated enough anyway, but this can only be a good thing.

and judging by his comments about the FA, he thinks his governing body has got it in for his team , just like us and the RFL !!
