Is he retiring at the end of the season or will he play another year. That would ,mean our 6, 7 and 9 are all out of contract next year. Not a good position to be in if all 3 left the club at the end of 2012.

The loss of deacon, finch and tommy in 1 year would be a big hole to fill.

Didn't Finch sign for 2 or 3 years?

Finch signed a 2 year contract

Ignore the rumours and wait till any of Finch, Tommy or Deacon are announced as leaving before panicking.

Deacon will play on IMO.

He certainly has another year left in him just depends on how he feels personally with his body, I for one would love to see him in cherry and white again next season.

Need to see the Rabbitohs signing half backs before I'll be happy the boys will be staying.

Witt to replace Deacon? Always wanted to see Dobson back at Wigan, ideal replacement with many of the same qualities as Deacon.

Would sooner sign sammat as he would come on a cheat (passport job) as witt is a proper aussie and i know we mite have space on quota but you never know who we mite/could sign next week.

Sammutt has occasional flashes of brilliance, but goes missing too much in games, doesn't seem to have the work ethic that Wigan would demand.

Sammutt could do a great job for a mid table team but he will not win championships for us.

Mellor could develop into a player just as good as Sam. I have seen real touches of brilliance from him, he is very capable of having as big an impact as Sam.
