What's this rumour about Jamie Foster joining Wigan?

first i've heard of it.

Doubt it Excellent player would have him at Wigan, but it won't happen.

I've heard it mentioned a couple of times and someone just posted it on his Facebook.

I doubt its true but I'd love him to wear a proper red an white shirt next year

He's a damn good player, but surely Saints would fight hard to keep him, especially after losing Eastmond.

We don't need him, Richards and Charnley are better wingers, although Foster is an excellent goalkicker, but then again so is Pat.

If it weren't for his goalkicking Foster would be run of the mill winger. I still think he could make a better centre, which is where he played at academy level.

Great goalkicker not a bad winger and great goalkickers are hard to get so I would have him as pat ain't gonna be around forever but I cant see it happening.

Ryan King looks an awesome prospect too.

I think hes over rated take away his excellent goal kicking (which we dont need) and he isnt anything special. I'd rather give Ryan King a chance than sign him.

If it was annouced tomorrow that we have signed him I would feel underwhelmed, disappointed and a bit gutted.

He has gone from being a young lad eager to please and score points, to an arrogant Ronaldo alike who points his finger in the air and offers a cocksure eyebrow raise. The smug look on his bonce is akin to someone enjoying the smell of his own farts.

I think we have proven that you do not need top class wingers to score tries at Wigan, so if Pat were leaving he could be a decent option.

As it is we have no need for him, there is nothing about his game that excites me, physically he is nothing special and there is not too much to work with. Leave him where he is just like Wellens he will take up more and more cap space as he gets older and provide less and less value as many good club men do.

I don't think there's that much about Jamie Foster that would make him a player Wigan should look to sign. I think Ryan King could be just as good a winger if not better. He's solid defensively and has excellent pace. Definitely no need to be interested in Foster.

Not seen much of king but he sounds a good prospect. as for foster, rather av mathers back lol!!

Bit O/T, but when richards does move on, who will become kicker? Is there any youngsters at the club who seem to be good at kicking goals like pat? (obviously not as good as, but showing the potential).

When Pat came over he was never really a renowned kicker. We moulded him into one when Dobson and Orr left. So in that respect it is difficult to say with anyone having the potential to step up when the time comes.

Josh Charnley has kicked goals in the past. He looks capable. Sam has kicked a few as I'm sure the Leeds fans can testify.

A successful and reliable kicker is a pivotal asset to any side. It is in this respect that I think Jamie Foster is gaining a bit of hype. Goal kicking aside (along with that audacious haircut) I don't understand the whole euphoria surrounding him. Josh Charnley looks a far better prospect. Bigger, stronger, faster, better footwork, younger and doesn't have a daft hairstyle.
