95% in the first half.

At least 3 mistakes IIRC, 2 credited to Hansen, 1 to Carmont.

I can't recall a dropped ball when we were attacking. Very few errors all round and a low penalty count.

95% first half was amazing! We played awesome error and pen free rugby for most of the game, even without the slick moves and tough defence we would have done ok!

The word that kept coming to my mind all game was "clinical".

At the end of the first half, ours was outstanding at 95% and Saints had 93%. In a final, the little things make all the difference.


In the 2nd half, Saints crippled themselves with penalties and unforced errors e.g. knock ons & crossing.

At half time Eddie said that in the first half Wigan's was 97% and Saints 93%.

We've tightened up our discipline and ball-retention enormously in the last two games. What a difference it makes.
