This year we had the hard pre-season training which got us ready and helped us win the league. Next year, all the other teams will do the same, so what will we need to do to reach the next level, and win the league?

Think the next level will hopefully come with the new signings. They will be the major change this year.

Plus, I'm not convinced that everyone will be doing what Wigan did. It takes personalities like Mike Maguire's and Shaun Wane's to get you through so punishing a pre-season as that.

Not everyone at Wigan complied. Certain coaches didn't, and subsequently left.

Our sheer strength and size in the forwards next season will certainly make us a better team.

Stu i should imagine that all professional teams go through a tough pre-season training program. To say that simply increasing the intensity will enable other team to reach our level simply isn't the case. I feel our players in the previous 2 seasons had more potential than they where showing, Maguire and Wane have unlocked this and reaped instant results.

Next year we will be a much stronger outfit simply due to the 3 new signings from OZ.

I'm looking forward to Mossop with another pre season under his belt. If he can stay fit I think he'll have a huge impact next year.

Looks like MM likes playing him at prop maybe another pre season under his belt so Bicton will look to add maybe another stone onto him?.

Whatever happens next season on paper we have a set of forwards able to compete with the best.

i was chatting to a player today about pre season . He said that they were pushed to the limit and beyond . one player actualy put his hand up in one training session and stated he just could not do any more.

Don't know about secret weapons but comparisons to our likely opposition seems to give us an edge.
We will have the three signings from Oz and maybe a rumoured further signing.
There seems to be a possibilty that Gaz Hock could return sometime in June.
That's four or five top class players we've not had this season.

Saints have recruited well with Perry, Shenton, McCarthy Scarsbrook and Soliola playing a full season. They could also be a younger squad than this season due to those going and their arrivals.

Wire are getting older every season. Hodgson 32 replacing Mathers for one. 10 or 11 of their first 17 next year will be 30 or over. Next year will be a season too far for one or two of them I reckon.

Leeds haven't recruited anyone as far as I can remember. Eastwood going and Peacock returning are their only positives with McGuire coming back 12 or so games into the season.

Hudds are ones to watch. A well coached squad will no obvious "stars" Will get into the top four IMO at the expense of either Leeds or Wire.

As for a secret weapon? Our coaching team will be better, the first team will improve and our younger players will push for first team spots giving competition for places which, again, will raise standards.

The 3 boys from the storm, plus the desire to hopefully win the WCC and then hopefully head to Wembley.

Maybe thats why weve done so well? The players probably found matches easy compared to pre season

In 2011,(pre season) I'm guessing that player will do that & more


No 'secret weapon' just a focus on greater fitness & team unity.
