First ever post, so here goes.

I have been to this corresponding fixture for the last 3 years, headingley x2 and KR last year. Each year I believe that we have gotten closer. We were well and truly battered in 2007, which I sort of expected. We gave Leeds a game in 2008 but again I never really expected a win. Last year we pushed Stains all the way, but just missed out. This year year I do believe we can go one better and make the GF. I think we are ready to take the next step. Does anyone else feel the same? Never been as nervous about a game for a long time.

Good post, my feelings entirely, this is a long week.

"Quietly confident" - a phrase I used to use a lot to my mates before games in the late 80's and early/mid 90's.

If Wigan perform to their ability/potential and they get a fair crack of the whip from the officials, they will win.

TBH, if Peacock and Mcguire were playing, I would be much less confident.

I agree with your post, however i go from super confident to not at all confident during a 1 hour cycle.

Its been a long week, a long build up, made more exciting by the tripe in the press from over the pennines.

Absolutely cacking my pants I am confident but very nervous not slept properly all week glad to see we are focused on the job in game and not getting involved with all the crap being spouted by leeds lets finally put leeds in there place once and for all come on wigan bring it on

If we get a fair crack of it from the officials and play anywhere near like we can; then that should be enough to get us to the GF. We need to stick to our game plan regardless of whether we're ten points up or ten points down, not give away silly penalties and not let ourselves get sucked into a grudge fest.

You certainly should be expecting to win this time. If you cannot win this time with the under strength team Leeds will have out then when will you win ones of these?

I don't think you've ever had a better chance of winning one of these since the last time you made the GF.

Had it been at Wigan I could see you winning by 24 at least. As it is,going away should be no hardship given your away record this season and your record in general at Headingley.

This game will either be tight (Leeds only have a shout due to home advantage and play off experience in these final eliminators) or you will win comfortably

Don't really blame you. This is the best Wigan squad in a while, and we will certainly miss both Jamie and Danny.

Thanks Billy, hope your head is right, this has been a long week, the weather is good, think this will be a classic, if we keep our discipline I think we will win, penalties cost any team big time.
Just hope the best team on the day wins we are not talking about the ref tonight.
